'SPEAKER CRUZ IS IN THE HOUSE' — Republican Border Plan Is In Total Chaos After Conservative Revolt
Business Insider ^ | July 31st, 2014 | Brett LoGiurato

House Republican leaders abruptly changed their plan to deal with the crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border late Wednesday night, after they were not able to muster enough votes to pass the legislation before Congress leaves Friday for a five-week recess.

Conservatives in the House revolted against the Republican-led plan, which provides about $659 million in emergency spending for the border crisis through the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30.

As a result, the House will vote Thursday on two pieces of legislation, the first being the border plan. If that legislation passes, the House would be required to vote on legislation that would bar President Barack Obama from delaying the deportation of young, undocumented immigrants.

The Republican dissent was led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), the conservative freshman firebrand who has miffed House leadership before by meddling in the House's affairs (most notably, last year, ahead of the government shutdown).

Cruz met with a sizeable group of House conservatives in his Senate office Wednesday night, where they ate pizza and discussed the border crisis, according to sources. Some of the attendees, according to Roll Call, included Republican Reps. Steve King of Iowa, Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, Steve Stockman of Texas, and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.

By crossing the threshold of spending without Congressional Authorization...even for the "Good of the Country", Obama would certainly be removed from office or the US Government would face armed revolution.

Do not agree with either outcome of such a move by this Administration. Actually, alot of what they're doing is not purposefully funded by Congress.

What I'm saying is...

Congress NOW only thinks it controls the purse strings. Boehner has already dismissed the Constitutional provision for Presidential impeachment.

Boehner is now one of the lawless ones.

Cruz

Family name

Cruz is a surname of Iberian origin, first found in Castile, Spain. It means “cross,” either the figure or a cross of lines or ways in Spanish and Portuguese. In The Philippines the word is rendered to “krus”, but the Spanish form is used for surnames. The word “Cruz”, as well as “Vera Cruz” (”True Cross”) and “Santa Cruz” (”Holy Cross”) are used as surnames and topological names.

I think that one reason she is so hated isn’t simply because she is conservative but because she is a conservative woman. The mindset of liberals is that only white middle/upper class men can be conservative because they are the evil that, according to our pResident, stole from everyone else to build this country. I don’t think they can wrap their minds around the reality a woman, who by all their definitions, is what white men have enslaved and oppressed through out time can be conservative. It just flies in their face. No woman can possibly believe what conservatives believe.

I see it all the time. My wife for one, who is conservative (not as much as I), is often treated poorly by the members of her family and castigated (all libs) because they just cannot believe she feels that way about anything. To her credit, like Sarah, she stands her ground and that infuriates them more. I just tell them to FO, but she still feels the need to connect to them and discuss issues and try and make them see. It is a loosing effort for the most part when your targeted audience is reliant on the government and blames everyone else for their lot in life instead of owning their choices. As long as they have their cell phones, car, tv, and entertainment they don’t care about anything else much less who is paying the bills (us through taxes).

Whatever he’s doing, you can bet it’s legal and within the rules of congress.

What ‘miffs’ them is that Cruz makes them have to tell their staffers to look up the rules, all of which he stores in his head. They’re all scrambling to find something

Liberals hate her because she is not just a woman, but a woman happy in traditional values and roles, yet has achieved so much that feminists dream of.

She didn't have to be a Playboy bunny like Gloria Steinem--she's not a slut like Sandra Fluke, she's not a Hollywood whore --

Wow, how pathetic Boehner looks...

Maybe too smart by half.

It looks like he's trying to undermine November's elections...

Jeff Sessions Can't Believe What He Sees

RUSH: Jeff Sessions, the great senator from Alabama, I'm sure sometimes feels like he's all alone. He looks at what's happening on the Southern border, and he can't believe it. He hears what President Obama says and combines that with what he sees happening. He can't believe it. He can't believe that there's nobody where he works in the US Senate, or in the House of Representatives, trying to do anything to stop this."

No, their loathing is based on the fear that she may take some women votes in General Elections -- and they are scared stiff, because they know that if they lose much of the women's vote, they are dead.

It is said that dogs only bite when they are both angry and scared.

The House could then fund everything EXCEPT the Dims Amnesty initiatives.

They tried that with Obamacare. Obama blamed his very own shutdown on 'evil' Cruz the GOP. The sheeple, the Rats and the RINOs all got behind that lie.

:This is actually a novel approach by Cruz. Coordinating with the House on these issues instead of the useless, Liberal infested Senate to build a strategy and narrative.”

This is what I call working across the aisle, instead of compromising principles like RINOs

Well done my Senator.

My Senator is more effective in Congress and I hope he stays there instead of running for POTUS.

Was musing a what-if he had gone to the House instead of the Senate, he might have become the next Speaker.

What’s with all the Ted Cruz cheerleading? This is the same guy who went down to the border with Glenn Beck to shower the illegal invaders with soccer balls, teddy bears, and hot meals.

Do you really think he is someone you can trust with border security? Yes, this is good news, but keep everything in perspective.

or $6,500 per 'immigrant'. They could buy them a first class plane ticket back home for 1/5 of that.

Only if you accept the bogus 10-12 million number of illegal aliens the MSM has been repeating for the last several years.

You know its more like 30 million.

RE: Cruz giving soccer balls away

I have no problems with giving kids toys or temporary medical help, as long as it isn’t jobs, welfare, permanent residency, or citizenship.
