Unfortunately, I see this as only a short-term victory. Amnesty will come in the lame duck session, and Boehner will not run for Speaker again.

Wouldn't surprise me if he retires and joins the Chamber of Commerce in a senior role.

Notice I said “some opposition” in my original comment. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is a victory, just a slowing down of the GOPe/Obama enabler train. The TP kept the House from rolling over and giving it all up to Obama without a whimper. But, it’s better than full speed (enabling) ahead and I think it shows the value of the hard work to get more TP folks in Congress .... they can make a difference and with bigger numbers, the difference will be bigger and more significant.
