America Stands with Hamas against Israel

Posted By Ronn Torossian On August 1, 2014 @ 12:10 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 2 Comments

The Obama Administration stands with Hamas – an organization which is a designated foreign terrorist organization in America, Canada, the UK and most other civilized countries. Despicable and simply amazing that America is standing with an organization whose leadership and people is anti-American. Shameful, horrible, awful conduct. Clearly, the alliances in the Middle East have changed – Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Israel stand against Muslim extremist fundamentalists – and lining up on the other side is Qatar, Turkey and President Obama’s United States of America. Yes, you read that correctly.

Standing against Israel – the most consistent American ally in the region – is despicable.

This administration — which has been awful to Israel — saw Secretary of State John Kerry present the Israeli cabinet with a draft of a ceasefire agreement that recognized Hamas’s position in the Gaza Strip, promised the organization billions in donation funds and demanded no dismantling of rockets, tunnels or other heavy weaponry at Hamas’s disposal.  Rather than standing against radical Islamists who endanger the entire Western world, America stands with terror.

Yet, the people of Israel will not accept these perpetual attacks upon her people.  Israel will not – and must not – stop until tunnels are destroyed, and terror ceases. Israel’s TV Station Channel 10 had a poll which revealed that 87 percent of Israelis were in favor continuing the operation in Gaza, with another 69 percent in favor of toppling Hamas. Another poll showed that 86.5 percent are against a ceasefire right now because “Hamas continues firing missiles on Israel, not all the tunnels have been found, and Hamas has not surrendered.”  And as America must continue fighting Al-Qaeda for world peace, so too must Israel keep fighting Hamas.

Hamas receives funding from Iran, and consistently stands against America. As Steven Emerson has documented, Hamas has “an extensive infrastructure in the U.S. mostly revolving around the activities of fundraising, recruiting and training members, directing operations against Israel, organizing political support and operating through human-rights front groups.”

Who is it that America under Obama and Kerry is protecting? A government Prime Minister, Ismail Haniya, the leader of Hamas who condemned the killing of Osama Bin Laden, describing the act as a “continuation of the United States policy of destruction.” Haniyeh praised Bin Laden as a “martyr” and an “Arab holy warrior.”  This is the government which must be protected?  A government which endangers its own people – and vows to destroy the State of Israel?

And the people of Hamas too stand against America.  Ismail al-Ashqar, a Hamas lawmaker, described it as “state terrorism that America carries out against Muslims.” Yehia Moussa, another Hamas leader, noted that Hamas considers anybody killed while fighting “the American occupation and the Israeli occupation as a martyr, regardless of who he was.”

Hamas was democratically elected with 80% of the vote of the Palestinian people – and this is who today’s American leaders stand with. Let’s review the actions of whom Obama and Kerry are standing with when it comes to the 9/11 attacks:  “Allah has answered our prayers,” Dr. Atallah Abu Al-Subh wrote in an open letter titled “To America,” which appeared September 13, 2001, in the Hamas newspaper Al-Risala.

“How much hatred has [America] stockpiled. … Were the eradication of its Marines in Lebanon, the destruction of its military headquarters at Khobar in Saudi Arabia, the destruction of the USS Cole in Yemen, the bombing of its embassies in Zambia [sic] and in Kenya, and the attacks on its soldiers in the Gulf … not sufficient? The U.S. should have learned the lessons of history … Today, the U.S. has treated the bitter harvest it sowed in the hearts of millions. Today, we ask: After this, will the U.S. [continue to] think that it is above the law?” the editor of Al-Risala, Dr. Ghazi Hamad, said in justification of the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center.

For the sake of peace, Israel must destroy Hamas.

Isn’t Hamas an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood (Obama’s BFFs) . . . or am I remembering wrong?

It will be interesting to see how liberal Jews handle this issue particularly in light of the growing anti-Semitism in Europe.

Hopefully, they will come to their senses and come to Israel's defense.

It will be interesting to see how liberal Jews handle this issue “

In the US, liberal Jews are democrats first and Jews second, a la George Soros. A destroyed Israel would be something useful to wail about when they feel a “Woe is Us” moment of self pity, but they will, in fact, watch every Israeli go under the knife with the cold eye of unconcern. They are doing so now.

Of course you're both correct. I considered adding a similar observation to my ping, but didn't because although the title is a bit exaggerated, American policy does in some ways favor Hamas. And while it's east to say that's just Kerry and Obama, fact is it's the face America is presenting to the world. It does make me angry that the highest ranking Democrat in the House considers Hamas, a terror group under US law, is actually a humanitarian organization. I doubt many Americans agree, but the solution is to remember the duplicity, remember your anger, remember the face the administration puts on for the world and vote them out.

Yes, Hamas must be destroyed. Especially today, after the kidnapping of the Israeli soldier Hadar Goldin, Hadar ben Hedva Lea.

Don’t retard George Soros as representative of American Jews. He was a Nazi collaborator who looted Jewish homes in Hungary under the auspices of his Nazi supervisors, and as an adult he described that as among the best times in his life.

And what exactly do you call the American Jews that support Hamas’ attempt to wipe out the Jews in the Middle East?

I will let you know when I see one. I have not seen American Jews that support Hamas’s efforts to wioemout israel. Even the fringe anti-Israel groups like Committee for Justice for the People of Israel and Palestine, J Street and Not in my Name have not been vocal.

Unfortunately, many American Jews believe in the institutions like the government and the media. When they see news reports about injuries to Arabs in Gaza and hear the Obama administration call for a cease-fire that is opposed by Israel they get weak in the knees.

There are many people in the US who, to paraphrase Instapundit, are not anti-war, but are just on the other side. That is not the case with the broad mass of liberal American Jews, in my opinion.

I think you set up a straw man.

Obama and the democratic party are in full support of Hamas in this conflict and the American Jews are in full support of Obama and the dems with their votes, their wallets and their vocal support.
I consider Hamas to be very similar to the Nazis. If the American Jews are supporting the democratic party in its efforts to help Hamas destroy Isreal, then, I would consider the American Jews to be Nazi collaborators (Like Soros).

However, this still being a somewhat free country, and it is not my desire to argue with a fellow FReeper, I think we can agree to disagree.

We do agree that Obama is in full support of Hamas and that Hamas is very similar to the Nazis, at least in regard to their desire to massacre Jews until they are wiled off the face of the earth.

In Israel every Jew but the far left endorses the Israeli government in this operation, and most want it to go much further. I suspect that after today’s suicide bombing/kidnapping that feeling is even stronger.

Perhaps some of that feeling will rub off on the leftists in the American Jewish community who have cringed at the prospect of a more muscular response by Israel. Again, I am speaking anecdotally, but I have not heard American Jews remarking that Israel is going too far in this operation, and I have heard those statements and read the full-page ads to that effect in the past.

Agreed. This reminds me so much of the rise of socialism in Germany before WWII when many of the European Jews adopted the “maybe if I keep quiet, they will forget that they hate me, too” tactic of dealing with oppression happening not too close to home. Another popular attitude was the ever-popular “I don’t believe it is really happening.. Oh look, What pretty flowers!” Too late they learned the error of their ways..

Question: If someone gives money to Cat Stevens (whatever the hell his name is now) and that money goes directly to Hamas, are those donors supporting Hamas or are they just flower people showing support for Cat’s view of world peace?

If you deem them to be Hamas supporters, why aren’t those who support, tacitly or otherwise, the dems efforts to help Hamas defeat Israel, supporters of Hamas?

“Obama is quickly loosing support among US Jews.”
Here is a newsflash- Obama is losing support from everyone, including Hamas. That information and $4.50 will get you a grande coffee at Starbucks.
A. Obama is not running for another office so he doesn’t care.
B. US Jews may not like Obama anymore but they will vote for the next dem put on the ballot.
C. Worth repeating:US Jews may not like Obama anymore but they will vote for the next dem put on the ballot.

I think it is important to differentiate between those who give to Hamas and those who give to someone, or to some organization, that funds Hamas without understanding that it is going there.

The Holy Land Foundation, for example, was a front for Hamas. I would hold its officers liable for funneling and laundering money to Hamas in violation of US law. I would not hold the average Palestinian in the US who hates Jews, and who gave money to the Holy Land Foundation, guilty of knowingly funding Hamas. If you could produce a Youtube video, for example, or a tearsheet, or something else that demonstrates that they knew, then I would come to a different conclusion. If you could show me that it was blatant and they “should have known” but chose to ignore it, I also would hold them liable.

Assume that Roger Waters is not only an anti-Semite, but also an actual friend of Hamas (and perhaps he is). I would hold him liable, but not the slacker, of whatever generation, who goes to see a Pink Floyd concert or buys their music. My answer would be different if they were asked to buy the music to support Hamas.

Similarly with Yusif Islam, f/k/a Cat Stevens. If he gives money to Hamas, which for all I know he is doing, I would not hold responsible someone who likes his music and wants to see him perform, unless it is billed as a benefit concert for Hamas or he knows that Yusif Islam is giving a portion of the funds to Hamas. People just don’t care the way that you and I do.

On the other hand, the US has specific laws against funding an organization that funds Hamas, and when the US gives money to UNRWA and — after the April 2014 reconciliation with Fatah — the Palestinian Authority, I think that this is against US law, as is so much that this administration is doing. I also believe that Fatah has the same value system but plays the “good cop”, but that is a separate issue.

“On the other hand, the US has specific laws against funding an organization that funds Hamas”

Which is why Cat Stevens is no longer allowed in the US.

People who give donations to anything have a duty to know where that money is actually going, or they are open to being smeared with the same paintbrush used to identify the bag man.
One of the main reasons dummy fundraisers are used is to allow deniability to those doing just what they shouldn’t be doing.

Get out of your Mommy's basement and see what American really think...Obama isn't America or American

I'm not sure I saw a lot of what Americans think in the article. Mostly what the administration thinks, and what Israelis think. His conclusions seem to be the administration is pro Hamas and should change for the good of the American people, and that Israelis support doing what's in their interest regardless of the Obama/Kerry cabal. Not really much on Americans, and I agree with his assessments of Israelis and the administration. As to what Americans think, I suppose they don't all think like me or you. But it's worth noting the author who generally writes from a conservative perspective, perhaps other than rap music, did found what is not one of the top 20 or so PR firms in the country. Despite displaying rather un Manhattan opinions.

firing rockets and kidnapping a soldier after demanding a cease-fire... shows what they really are, barbarians. As if they hadn’t proved that time and time again over the last 40-50 years.
