Since there’s no cure for an easily communicable, extremely deadly disease, then everyone who has even a hint of a chance of exposure should be quarantined for the incubation time, and if found positive, then permanently quarantined.
A quarantine is the medical version of declaring war.

Anyone who has read the novel The Hot Zone knows that this disease is absolutely horrifying. It is also lethally "hot" - as it can be transmitted very, very easily.
The symptoms start with a piercing headache, followed by horrible vomiting and bleeding all over the body which is loaded with the virus.
The movie "Outbreak" was a tame, stupid Hollywood depiction that masked the horrors of this disease.
The one patient who was brought here was an American serving with missionary group. Two people on the mission (which cared for
Ebola patients) got it, and I read this morning that they has one dose of an experimental serum sent from the US and the other person who had contracted Ebola asked them to give her the dose. They are both still alive, sfaik, but I think it’s actually a good idea to monitor her here and see if the serum is effective.
It’s heading our way in any case.

Agree with Trump. Been thinking the same since I read about the Ebola patient being flown to the U.S. Probably better for the patient to be treated by specialists over there than to endure the long trip here.

Maybe someone should que our politicians in to the fact that this is one disease that is not specific to a particular voting bloc.
I sort of agree with trump.
The problem is what is the “highest level” they can get over there? It may not be as high as Trump is thinking.
Still it seems like the transport itself would be challenging to the patient. I question the wisdom of bringing them home prior to the illness being resolved.
