President Barack Obama is gathering nearly 50 African heads of state in Washington for an unprecedented summit aimed in part at building his legacy on a continent where his commitment has been questioned.
From the start of his presidency, Obama has faced sky-high expectations from African leaders and U.S. policymakers who hoped the son of a Kenyan would bump Africa up the White House list of foreign policy priorities.
Unlike his predecessor George W. Bush, who launched a $15 billion program to address HIV and AIDS, Obama seemed to be lacking a signature Africa initiative. And his administration's focus turned instead to the Arab Spring movement sweeping through the Middle East, a heavily promoted rebalance toward Asia and a slew of pressing security concerns.

Well, maybe like moochelle, the blood of Africa runs through his veins. Er, pretty much bettin’ it ain’t the blood of America.
Right. Bring in 50 heads of state, their entourages, their bodyguards, their press secretaries, etc. etc.—some of whom are from West African ebola-infected states.
And have JUST ONE of them cough, sneeze, or spit, in the wrong area, and presto, IT’S HERE.
Plague threats shouldn’t make you cautious, they should fill you with TERROR, and you should react accordingly.
(That is, NOT by inviting potential carriers to tea...)
Hah! Africa schmafrica. Obama is akin to a white leftist. He fears and hates black people.
And btw, who’s paying for fifty heads of state to come and stay in DC (along with their entourages)?
The bankrupt USA?
So what’s with this? He wants his legacy to be how he reached out to sub Saharan Africa?
What about his outreach to the Muslim world? His big Cairo speech? Wasn’t that supposed to help him build a legacy with America’s relations in the Arab/Muslim world? How is that one working out?
Will this outreach to Africa have any different results?
A few days ago, Hillary talked about how admired George W. Bush was in Africa for the work he did for AIDS. Somehow this got back to Obama and he is jealous and wants to be admired by Africa like Bush, so this event.
But Obama does not identify himself as an African black. He identifies himself as an African Arab/muslim. He cares not one whit about black Africans. Obama’s ancestors sold black Africans - still do today.
Is this the “summit” where he agrees to let all the diseased Africans who want to come to AmeriKa and watch flat screen TV and play soccer?
Obama will be asking these 50 African Leaders on Tips about how to Rule , I mean Govern
