He was a dead man walking the minute the savages captured him. I don't even want to speculate what he went through.
You're in a better place, now, soldier.
Rest in peace.

Too bad these Islamo-Nazis are right next to Israel, otherwise I’d say nuke ‘em from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.

He was probably killed during the engagement, but the terrorists dragged him off.

To: Right_in_Virginia

The IDF spokesman announced early on Sunday morning that at 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, the Chief Rabbi of the IDF, Brigadier Gen. Rafi Peretz, declared the death of IDF officer Lt. Hadar Goldin, who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip on Friday.
The decision was made according to the findings of a special board, headed by the rabbi, who consideration medical, halachic and other relevant considerations.

I get that. It’s just the article from the BBC was so light on details.

If he were alive the Hamas savages would have paraded their “trophy” by now.
To: MinuteGal
This certainly blows up the speculation that the captured Israeli soldier would be offered in trade for maybe 1,000 (or whatever number) Hamas prisoners held by Israel.
And I have no doubt the soldier in captivity probably went through an ordeal not unlike what was visited upon Ambassador Christopher Stevens in Benghazi.

From the article:
Hamas had denied it was holding the 23-year-old captive, saying it did not know the soldier's whereabouts.
The military wing of Islamist group said it had lost contact with some fighters in the area where Israel said the soldier had been seized.
It said it believed the fighters and possibly Lt Goldin had been killed in an Israeli airstrike.
