Skip to comments.US reportedly dispatched Latin Americans to foment Cuba political change

WASHINGTON An Obama administration program secretly dispatched young Latin Americans to Cuba using the cover of health and civic programs to provoke political change, a clandestine operation that put those foreigners in danger even after a U.S. contractor was hauled away to a Cuban jail.
Beginning as early as October 2009, a project overseen by the U.S. Agency for International Development sent Venezuelan, Costa Rican and Peruvian young people to Cuba in hopes of ginning up rebellion. The travelers worked undercover, often posing as tourists, and traveled around the island scouting for people they could turn into political activists.
In one case, the workers formed an HIV-prevention workshop that memos called "the perfect excuse" for the program's political goals -- a gambit that could undermine America's efforts to improve health globally.
But their efforts were fraught with incompetence and risk, an Associated Press investigation found: Cuban authorities questioned who was bankrolling the travelers. The young workers nearly blew their mission to "identify potential social-change actors." One said he got a paltry, 30-minute seminar on how to evade Cuban intelligence, and there appeared to be no safety net for the inexperienced workers if they were caught.

Foment political change to what? The politics in Cuba are exactly where Obama wants to take us.
My thoughts exactly. What do they want to change and why? With Obama, it is never for the good of the U.S.
And there we have it FRiends, more exposition to another bunch of “brilliant” plans hatched at the Unicorn Corral of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
What else are all those fenced needed for the Most Transparent Administration in History but to keep those little beasts penned up so nobody else could learn from their imaginary mind melds?
I doubt this.
No doubt if it’s true he had no hand and actively worked against it. Being anti-communist will never be used to describe him.
Anybody know anything about Creative Associates International?
I need to go to work but will see what I can find this evening. Who runs it and how much is our government paying them?
I didn’t know Obama was doing such a good job.
Maybe they want to move Cuba even more left?
Let’s see. We help overthrow Ukraine’s government which is right on the border with Russia and don’t expect him to retaliate. Makes sense to me. /sarc
A few articles from the website of Communist Party USA.
Prior to the ‘08 election...
The Communist Party USA views the 2008 elections as a tremendous opportunity to defeat the policies of the right-wing Republicans and to move our country in a new progressive direction.
The record turnout in the Democratic Presidential primary races shows that millions of voters, including millions of new voters, are using this election to bring about real change. We wholeheartedly agree with them.
Right after the election....
A Landslide Mandate For Change
A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

Change is Here, Change is Coming
Sam Webb, National Chair, Communist Party, USA:
Let me begin with a simple observation: If the last 30 years were an era of reaction, then the coming decade could turn into an era of reform, even radical reform. Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years.
In this legislative session, we can envision winning a Medicare-like public option and then going further in the years ahead.
We can visualize passing tough regulatory reforms on the financial industry, which brought the economy to ruin.
We can imagine the troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan while U.S. representatives participate in a regional process that brings peace and stability to the entire region.
In the current political climate, the expansion of union rights becomes a real possibility.
Much the same can be said about winning a second stimulus bill, and we sure need one, given the still-rising rate, and likely long term persistence, of unemployment.
Isnt it possible in the Obama era to create millions of green jobs in manufacturing and other sectors of the economy in tandem with an attack on global warming?
Cant we envision taking new strides in the long journey for racial and gender equality in this new era, marked at its beginning by the election of the first African American to the presidency?
And isnt the overhaul of the criminal justice and prison system a system steeped in racism no longer pie-in-the sky, but something that can be done in the foreseeable future?
All these things are within reach now!
Change will not come if we wait for some other person or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones weve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek BARACK OBAMA
“Barack Obama told supporters that ‘change has come to America’ as he claimed victory in a historic presidential election.”
The communists running Cuba are tight with your boy KGB Putin.
“We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America”
They need to get rid of Castro. They are not willing to go along with the NWO. It is another dictatorship like all the others.
Keep in mind that the O admin does all this behind our backs. if we know about it, we are told it is for freedom that they are doing this.
But it really is not. It is about installing another puppet government in Cuba ripe to turn Cuba to the world dominate cabal.
The Obama admin has no problem with the Castro way of marxist power, it is merely because of the Castro’s not wanting to go along and also their affiliation with Russia.
I am just guessing, but this fits the mold of every other nation Obama has meddled in.
It will be interesting to see how the Kremlin reacts to this news, and whether you will buy into, too.
Who then is dispatching the swarms across our southern border to foment political change in the U.S.? What else could it be, with the warm greetings and accommodations awaiting them upon arrival, followed by swift distribution to preselected destinations?
To a military tacticion this would be indicative of prepositioning assets (trained agents among "the children"). The Muslim agents and sympathisers that have infiltrated our government structure are using "the children" as the cover for the invasion as their counterparts in Gaza use children as a shield in attacking Israel.
Cuba will NEVER be communist enough for O’bummer-
The only change Bummer would want to see on that
island - is a muslim caliphate!
( this article is disinformation- the O’bummer
administration has supported ALL countries that
are enemies of the U.S.- including Cuba- )

Russian nuclear bombers in Cuba?
July 23, 2008
The media has been abuzz today at the prospect of Russian nuclear bombers being stationed in Cuba if the US goes ahead with plans for missile defense bases in Eastern Europe.
The story has riled the US enough that a US general has been wheeled out to tell the worlds press that any Russian attempt to build another nuclear base in Cuba would cross US red line.
The story broke earlier this week, when Russian newspaper Izvestia quoted an un-named source from within the Russian military. He told the Russian daily:
While they are deploying the missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic, our strategic bombers will already be landing in Cuba.
The quote hasnt been independently confirmed, but the Russian Defense Ministry added fuel to the fire when they refused to comment on the story.
The prospect of Russian nuclear forces being stationed in Cuba - which is, after all, only 90 miles from the US coast - would bring back some rather unpleasant memories for the US of the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, where the Soviet Union under Nikita Kruschev launched an audacious and foolhardy bid to station nuclear missiles on the Caribbean island.
Russia to help Cuba modernize weaponry, train military
September 18, 2009
HAVANA, September 18 (RIA Novosti) - Modernization of the Soviet-made military equipment and training of Cuban military personnel will be the focus of Russian-Cuban military cooperation in the near future, the chief of the Russian General Staff said on Friday. Gen. Nikolai Makarov arrived on a working visit to Cuba on Monday, met with Cuban President Raul Castro and the country’s military leadership, and visited a number of military installations.
“During the Soviet era we delivered a large number of military equipment to Cuba, and after all these years most of this weaponry has become obsolete and needs repairs,” Makarov said.
“We inspected the condition of this equipment, and outlined the measures to be taken to maintain the defense capability of this country...I think a lot of work needs to be done in this respect, and I hope we will be able to accomplish this task,” the general said.
Makarov said the Cuban request for assistance with training of military personnel will also be fully satisfied.
Although the Cuban leadership has repeatedly said it has no intention of resuming military cooperation with Russia after the surprise closure of the Russian electronic listening post in Lourdes in 2001, bilateral military ties seem to have been improving following the visit of Russian Security Council chief Nikolai Patrushev and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin to Cuba in July last year.
A group of Russian warships, led by the Admiral Chabanenko destroyer visited Cuba in December last year during a Caribbean tour.
They’re one of several globalist groups sent to nations to locate and work with those in communities who want political changes......this is where ‘revolutions begin’.
We send them to many countries......Arab Spring was a result of these groups. Ukraine and Egypt are also examples, and we have them working in Turkey also. Anywhere where there is political unrest, or the “climate” to create it.
If you check out the administrators of this particular organization you will see he’s all about global agendas.
Russia to eavesdrop on U.S. from Cuba, paper reports
By Patrick Oppmann, CNN
July 17, 2014
Havana, Cuba (CNN) — The hi-tech listening post Russia used to spy on the United States from Cuba may once again gather intelligence, according to a Russian newspaper report.
And the problem with that is?
Only difference is Reagan would have executed it properly.
The problem is it's obviously BS. Obama is as left as Castro!
