Kansas Senate Race: Positive Conservative Solutions vs. 47 years in Washington and More of the Same
redstate.com ^ | 8/4/14 | Milton Wolf

Washington has lost its way — we all know it — and we will not change Washington until we change who we send to Washington. Tomorrow Kansans have an opportunity to do just that.

Too often, Republicans can offer little more than saying what they’re against, rather than what they stand for. This achieves little more than whining. We desperately need Republicans who can offer bold, positive, conservative solutions rather than just complaints. We desperately need new Republican leaders who can communicate why conservatism is not only effective, but also compassionate.

I am challenging Senator Pat Roberts in the Republican primary. After 47 years in Washington, Roberts cannot name any achievements worthy of re-election. Can you? He’s lost his way, voting for Barack Obama’s $600 billion tax hike, 11 debt ceiling increases and even for Kathleen Sebelius to run ObamaCare. Before I challenged him, before his breathtaking election-year conversion, Senator Roberts’ lackluster scorecards at Club For Growth and FreedomWorks were 55 and 54, respectively.

Pat Roberts is hiding from the issues that matter most to Kansans and all Americans. He has refused to debate me even after repeatedly and publicly promising voters he would, but there are serious policy differences between us. I offer positive conservative solutions while Pat Roberts offers more of the same.

TERM LIMITS

I support term limits and will lead by example, pledging to serve only two terms in the U.S. Senate. I will continue to practice medicine in Kansas (part time and as a volunteer) while I serve and practice

full-time when complete. Pat Roberts

It’s hard to get those types of Republicans when half the country is on the take and at least a third of Republicans vote with the Democrats. Obama know demographics is destiny and he’s loading up on illegals that will soon be voting. If we don’t win in Nov. and in 2016 we are done.

I will vote for Milton Wolf tomorrow. The founders did not envision professional politicians. They believed that the best representation came from strong local leaders who were from the community, knew the community, and returned to it after a short period of service in Washington.

My 5th great grandfather served only a single term in Congress, my great great grandfather only two terms. They both came back home and continued their service to their families and their communities. Roberts represents much of what has gone wrong with our political system, especially in the U.S. Senate.

I have taken a solemn vow to never vote for a Democrat, no matter what.

That’s not even an option.

Following a parade yesterday with Roberts & Wolfe in it,
my daughter asked if I was going to vote for Roberts.

I said, “yes, if he wins the primary”.
(Which opened an opportunity to explain the primary system, etc.)

Seeing more of this race than Lamar, is that because it’s closer? I know, I’m all questions today but have been somewhat out of the loop lately due to family issues.

Funny thing is I was at a noon BBQ in Overland Park with Sen Roberts, Sen Moran and Congressman Yoder. Seems that most of the elected Republican’s in KS both State and Federal support the re-election of Senator Roberts.

Saw Campaign Carl Cammeron from Fox news there covering the event.

Would you really vote for an inexperienced Member of the Obama family for your Senator?

Would you vote for a relative of Obama? Wolf should try running for Leawood dog catcher first. No experience doing much of anything.

Hey now, some of us are Leawood raised and we may not want him working in our old stomping grounds.

How is Roberts “Democrat Light” ? He’s the most Conservative Senator from Kansas in over 5 decades. You want “Democrat Light” ? Try his RINO predecessor Nancy Kassebaum, or her predecessor, the Socialist Republican James Pearson who voted identical to Ted Kennedy. THOSE are “Democrat Lights.”

I’ve got an actual liberal RINO here in Tennessee that needs being bounced on his ass this week in Lamar!. I’d swap him for Roberts, who votes 20%+ to his right in a heartbeat.

As for Milton Wolf, what is his public record ? What are his contributions to the Conservative cause in Kansas ? In short, what has he done to trust him ? I’ve asked that question dozens of times of his supporters and nobody has an answer. “He is not Roberts” is not an answer. Neither is Zero, neither is Kathleen Gilligan Sebelius. Neither am I, neither are you. He’s a total unknown. That’s not enough to support him. In fact, trusting an unknown over someone with a Conservative record HOPING he might be better is naïve at best, disastrous at worst.
