Same thing happened to that hag who lost her son in Iraq, and tried to capitalize on it with the Left. Sheehan...

Gag me with a pitchfork!

I wonder how much of this gun control nonsense was his doing. The shooting did a number on his brain.

So I will say, rest in peace, Mr. Brady and shame on those who used his shooting for their own agenda.

Well, evil IS misguided.

The connotations are more than a little different.

Rest in peace, James Brady.

I hope that your family finds comfort in its memories of you.

I also hope that your widow stops trying to take away our rights and our property - perhaps this breakpoint in her life will allow her to reconsider some of her views and actions.

If I recall, she got a bit too "uppity" and actually tried to run for congress against Pelosi in 2008. From that point on she became persona-non-grata in the eyes of the democrat party. (That and it was no longer popular to criticize the Iraq war once it became Obama's war....)

Hinckley Jr. should be charged with murder.

I think Mrs. Brady should be ashamed of herself. She sure capitalized off this. Full of grace she was not, IMO.

I expect she will soon be saying that he died because of the shooting.

He’s probably thinking right now, “I did THAT for Jodie Foster??!?!?!? What the Hell was I thinking?”

Good thing for the liberals they have already replaced him with Trayvon Martin and Gabrielle Giffords.

Hinckley had exchanged letters with serial killer Ted Bundy and sought the address of mass murderer Charles Manson.

“Although Brady returned to the White House only briefly, he was allowed to keep the title of presidential press secretary and his White House salary until Reagan left office in January 1989.”

Ronald Reagan always showed a lot of class and consideration for others.

It was a shame how the gun control phonies used James Brady when he was disabled to promote their cause.

Aww, c’mon. Hinckley was just wanting to get Manson’s recipes for ambrosia.

When he got too old, they used the Gabby Giffords--another disabled person, as their "face".

Notice no call for controlling those who are insanely criminally intent,

but all about controlling the tool...

If Ronald Reagan thought this man worthy, that’s all I need to know. RIP, Mr. Brady.

Respectfully, I’ll give this much to Frank Reynolds, he flipped out, live, on the air, at the behind-the-scenes staff, who fed him the bogus information - he had a sense of journalistic integrity, and rightfully called out those, who dared to go with an unverified report. In the modern era, unverified reports lead every breaking news story, and later on, they mildly issue a correction, as if the reporter had no duty to “get it right”. Thank you.

“Hinckley Jr. should be charged with murder.”

Good idea. There is no statute of limitations on murder and Jim Brady was only wounded by the attack. The charges against Hinckley were for attempted murder. The two issues are whether Brady hd his life shortened by the shooting (factual) and whether Hinckley’s original insanity acquittal on attempted murder charges gives him a double jeopardy defense on the murder charge.
