In a statement, Francis appealed to the international community to "put an end to the humanitarian drama underway, adopt measures to protect those who are threatened by violence and assure them necessary aid, especially urgent for those who are homeless and depend on the solidarity of others."

In other words, he wants us to take military action, a.k.a., the dreaded "W" word, "war".
So, Pope Francis... I thought war is never the answer?!
Except when it is, I guess.
How many divisions does the Pope have?
We can Only Wonder at what took”His HoliNess”So LONG?????????????
Beat me to it!
My sentiments exactly. And why doesn’t he open the Vatican to all these displaced and persecuted Christians?
his appeal seems lacking in clarity and passion.
take measures - put an end to the humanitarian drama - adopt measures - assure them necessary aid -
Maybe it doesn’t sound like mealy mouthed mush in the original Italian.
Let’s just say Pope Francis “woke up and SMELLED the coffee” for a change.
“TO HORSE” and a plenary indulgence for all!
A Pope would never call for war. A crusade maybe but never a war.
And if the pope did form divisions, wouldn’t you then complain about that?
I believe the Pope had about 2 divisions until the 1970s. Now the Swiss Guard is all that remains and there are less than 200 of them. I have no complaints about the Pope using his own military to accomplish something he railed against recently.
The Pope needs to call the world to a Crusade.
But he won’t...
Is that what you want me to do? Do I get a vote in the matter?
“Is that what you want me to do?”
How would that matter either way?
“Do I get a vote in the matter?”
No.
No.
LOL!
"....the only way to prevent a democracy from committing suicide is to limit the vote to faithful Catholics."

When Catholics can vote in Presbyterian consistories we’ll talk.
He is bewildered and that is not encouraging.
We have some Vatican guard in Arizona protecting their telescope. If you hike in the area they point their guns at you. If they would only do that for the threatened churches around the Islamic-infested world.
