This is the most outrageous statement in whole article. How can the feds be allowed to stonewall this level unaccountability? I hope the authors at the very least have forwarded their information to the appropriate inspector generals and congressional overseers.

What kind of parent leaves their kids behind and then turns them over to who knows who to make a horrendous journey - without the parents? The whole thing is unthinkable. And then how do we know who is grabbing the actual children (as opposed to the not so childish gang members) when they arrive here?
