While Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul tests the Republican waters for a possible White House run, Democrats are attacking, even this early in the nominating process, The Daily Beast reports.
During the junior senator's recent three-day trip to Iowa, where the first presidential caucuses will be held in 17 months, the Democratic National Committee sent out 10 press releases about Paul's activities and speeches, the news site reports.
A senior aide for Paul views the press releases in a positive light for the senator.
"What it can tell you as a political observer is that they recognize what we're trying to point out, which is Rand is the Republican who has the best chance of keeping and energizing the base while going into their constituencies," the aide told The Daily Beast.
Democrats on Monday blasted Paul for fundraising with Iowa Rep. Steve King who differs with Paul on whether impeachment is an option for President Obama; for his stand on foreign aid to Israel; for saying Republicans don't want to ban birth control; and that he's in favor "of the concept" of a federal ban on gay marriage, The Daily Beast reported.

The most obvious one is when he went on MSNBC Maddow 2011 and gave his views on the Civil Rights act which he now denies he ever did, but also when he said that he would defund Israel (and Palestinians too)
Let me be the first: He will not be the nominee. Hillary’s VP? Possible.
Really don’t care.
Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush et. all.
Are all pretend Republicans, and certainly are not conservatives.
I will be voting for a conservative for POTUS in 2016, whether that person is the GOP Nominee or not matters nothing.
GOP, either field someone who represents my values and principles, or you’ve lost my vote.
Rand Paul is his daddy’s little boy....nothing more.
Guess again!! Ron Paul Jr. would get ground into a fine paste. It's more likely they're trying to hurt Steve King by tying him to Paul.
