Well at least they don’t have to worry about going to their jobs in the morning. My guess is less than 5% of them even work.
You’re probably right...and riots do give them a moment in time where they ‘feel’ significant and with purpose....until the violent elements rise and take hold.
One of my favorite things to say when they’re hanging out in front of my home after dark is...”time to take your conversations down the street I have to get up and go to work in the morning”.... We have one section 8 house here and they have no concept that they’ve moved into a working class neighborhood, let alone what that means.
