If the police officer involved in this shooting happened to live next door to you and his name was released, what do you think would happen? Your support of this insane mob wanting his name right now, while tensions are not just high but on a manic level, is ridiculous.

And what exactly does posting the chief and his family’s data gain?

You have never dealt with #Anonymous before. Throw away everything relating to common sense and rationality.

They want some idiot to take the law into their own hands. They want to be part of the story. They want to watch the world burn from the comfort of their computer screen. That’s all these people ever want.

I don’t know what to think. The story keeps changing and changing.

Therefore I am reserving judgement. There simply are not enough if any credible facts to base an opinion on.

I do believe if massive retribution is visited upon the police and their families we will see police nationwide removing their gloves and frankly I would not blame them for doing so.

I am also starting to wonder if this Anonymous is really a black ops group of government funded and sanctioned agitators. Might be a crazy theory but then again maybe not. The things that happen nowadays and the political landscape as a whole resembles a Dali portrait of surrealism.

Lord have mercy mainstream society is just batshit crazy and mindlessly following the trends and memes of the day.

Our so-called president is heartbroken about this incident but dragging his feet on ISIS. I am assuming he won’t do anything until they’ve had enough time to kill off the Christians over there.

IDK anymore. It’s all so disgusting and evil.

I agree, lets not forget the leaking of the list of people who owned Guns in New York and New Jersey after Sandy Hook.

This is Anarchist BullSh!t, the exactly same crap that accorded before the First World War.

Many of my neighbors are police officers.

Any mob shows up at their doors is going to find they are showing up at the entire neighborhoods doors.

I rather suspect anyone wishing to do violence to their families will be educated in the error of their ways

We have now crossed a threshold where Police cannot hide within the general populace.
Within a few years they will have to move to guarded compounds.
I contend it’s a good thing they can no longer be Anonymous.

I am sorry but this is pure ignorance. The police officer is not anonymous. He drives around in am marked car. He has an office open to the public. His name and picture are often published in the local papers. What is not widely known is their wife or husbands name or their children’s names or their home address. Because there is no reason for it. You think this is a good idea? That maybe some morons might show up at a man’s home threatening his family and just possibly end up dead?

It was a scumbag tactic when the union targeted Rick Snyder’s daughter in Michigan. It was a scumbag tactic when the Black Pampers targeted George Zimmerman’s family in Florida and its a scumbag tactic now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of scumbags, it was a scumbag by the name of Spike Lee who released THE WRONG ADDRESS in the attempt to murder innocent people related to George Zimmerman.
How do we know scumbags like Anonymous haven’t scummed this up as well?
“Once the police and military start living apart from the general population, they will feel less worried about atrocities. Same with the other direction.”
In large part, the militarization of the Police has led to this.
For “Safety”, they get farther and farther from the community that they are supposed to be a part of, and protect. Militarization creates an US vs. THEM mindset, in both the Police, and the citizens.
Ferguson is a good example of that.
And it seems we have more than a few like that right here.
Ironic to see their solidarity with the Marxist thugs in the hood. The fantasy of civil disorder wouldn't seem so thrilling if they lived a little closer.
I'm one of those who minimalize the effects of people walking in the street. It's a trivial administrative rule that makes no real difference.
What you law and order alarmists seem to miss is that those police that are protecting you from jaywalkers by shooting them will take the same actions when your spee ch and opinions are criminalized.
A St. Louis Post Dispatch Letter to the Editor takes the fifth-column media to task for inciting violence:
Was it justified? That is the one question to be answered in the shooting death of Michael Brown. If the answer is no, the courts will deal with the crime. If the answer is yes, then the police officer goes back to work.
Yet, before the investigation is complete, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch editorial board has rendered its verdict on the editorial page (Aug. 11): “Michael Brown didn’t get due process.”
An important area of North County is in tatters, caused by rioters determined to take other people’s stuff, and the Post-Dispatch decides this is the time to further stoke the fires....
The St. Louis media, St. Louis commentators and politicians must think twice before talking once.
Exactly. We need to know who the wife and kids of this police chief are so they can be targeted by some lunatic who will give them the what for for something done by someone else.
Do I need a sarcasm tag?
Oh, and you posting this anonymously on an internet forum is kind of, well, ironic.
Dire Straits - The Bug
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIHMN1rFi9s
Lyrics
well it’s a strange old game - you learn it slow
one step forward and it’s back to go
you’re standing on the throttle
you’re standing on the breaks
in the groove ‘til you make a mistake
sometimes you’re the windshield
sometimes you’re the bug
sometimes it all comes together baby
sometimes you’re a fool in love
sometimes you’re the louisville slugger
sometimes you’re the ball
sometimes it all comes together baby
sometimes you’re going to lose it all
you gotta know happy - you gotta know glad
because you’re gonna know lonely
and you’re gonna know bad
when you’re rippin’ and a ridin’
and you’re coming on strong
you start slippin’ and slidin’
and it all goes wrong because
sometimes you’re the windshield
sometimes you’re the bug
sometimes it all comes together baby
sometimes you’re a fool in love
sometimes you’re the louisville slugger baby
sometimes you’re the ball
sometimes it all comes together baby
sometimes you’re going to lose it all
one day you got the glory
one day you got none
one day you’re a diamond
and then you’re a stone
everything can change
in the blink of an eye
so let the good times roll
before we say goodbye, because
sometimes you’re the windshield
sometimes you’re the bug
sometimes it all comes together baby
sometimes you’re a fool in love
sometimes you’re the louisville slugger baby
sometimes you’re the ball
sometimes it all comes together baby
sometimes you’re going to lose it all
Yes, it would have been irresponsible to publish the names of the wives and children, and the address of the home where they live if it wasn’t already public knowledge. Since when is it ever moral or ethical to punish the innocent for the actions of the guilty?
