Before You Pass Judgment On Rick Perry…

You ought to see this video first. This is the dash cam footage from the patrol car that pulled over Travis County D.A., Rosemary Lehmberg for DWI.

< href=http://youtu.be/JrxsCH_p1oc>Travis County DA Rosemary Lehmberg Drunk Driving Arrest Dash Cam

Here is the booking video when she was taken into custody.

TRAVIS COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY LEHMBERG'S BOOKING FOOTAGE KOKE FM 042113

Rick Perry thought her to be a disgrace, and wanted her to resign. She didn’t. So he took the next step and threatened to veto funding for her office. In response, a grand jury handed down an abuse of power indictment for coercive use of a veto late this afternoon. So the woman who was belligerent and intoxicated stays, Rick Perry is the bad guy and needs to go. Right. Got it.

Update: In case you want to give Lehmberg the benefit of the doubt, here is what her blood alcohol level was at the time of her arrest and booking, according to her attorney, David Sheppard.

District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg has pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, was sentenced to 45 days in jail and immediately taken into custody.

Lehmberg’s blood alcohol level registered at 0.23 when she was arrested April 13, her attorney David Sheppard said.

You left out the word “involuntary” meaning if you don’t agree tough!

At that point they call in several big cops and hold you down and take blood!

That picture is priceless.

How we should regard virtually all Democrats.

Berserk nutcases in need of restraint.

Oh officer I only had a couple of drinks, or I only 2 bottles of beer

Depends on how much booze was in the drinks and how large the bottles were

With all due respect, this is not correct.

In Austin, if you don’t agree to a blood test voluntarily, they will take blood out of your arm whether you like it or not.

This means FORCIBLY!

They TAKE your drivers license and KEEP IT! It’s gone forever.

Your license is then suspended for 90 days except you can get written permission to drive during certain hours of the day which are tailored to allow you to drive to your work.

If it is your second DUI or higher, you will be forced to put an interlock on your vehicle. Then they charge you monitoring fees. The interlock is by design VERY DIFFICULT to use and costs hundreds of dollars to install and maintain.

Austin is, or has been, # 1 in DUI convictions.

Most people I know now have the policy of simply not going to downtown restaurants and bars. The cops are VERY aggressive on this high revenue DUI enforcement in the downtown area. Recently, lol, several cops have been arrested for DUI.

My personal rule is not one drop and then touch a steering wheel. It’s designated driver, cab, drink at a hotel bar and then walk up to your room, or just don’t go.

Thanks for the link.

It should be mentioned that Ronnie Earle initiated the prosecution of Tom Delay. Lehmberg inherited the case from Earle.

I just don’t go to Austin unless it’s absoutely necessary, for all the reasons you cited and a lot more. The place is a liberal hell freak show that doesn’t deserve my money.

This is bizarre, and it’s going to backfire. If the ptb with their tactics succeed, they could end up with President Ted Cruz to deal with.

Here’s a problem I keep seeing. One has nothing to do with the other. Oh I think this is politically motivated without question, but it has zero to do with Perry broke the law. Zero.

Now it “appears” that he has technically violated the law based on the facts I’ve seen (again my usual disclaimer of “you can’t rely too much on “facts” you see in the Press”) I think though that the TX Constitution will win the day and that he will be seen as exercising a Constitutional power which would trump the Statute (that’s the very short version of that argument). Constitutions always win the day over statutes.

But too often I see arguments that don’t address the issue. Those get us nowhere. Most of the time, the character of the person you “don’t like” has NOTHING to do with legal analysis. This is one of those cases.

Lurker. A pig with lipstick is still a pig. Austin / Travis Co. is a hothouse of leftists, and the fat, drunken, corrupt, lesbian cockroach running the thoroughly politicized DA’s office is Exhibit A.

...leads me to believe Hillary Clinton’s hoof prints are on this. It’s typical Clinton scorched-earth strategy as their political machine rolls toward 2016.

In cahoots with her *step brother*, Jeb.

People that remember me BLASTING Perry when he was running for the 2012 presidency, mainly over coddling illegals, and earlier BLASTING Perry over his INSANE of idea of privatizing our freeway system, including handing out monopolies to his ‘friends’, know I’m no big fan of his.

But, in this case, the prosecutor is claiming that a politician cannot threaten a veto if it hurts some lady’s feelings? This is the worst I’ve seen and it WILL backfire - even the media and Democrats will realize it.

In fact, given this office and the Grand Jury pool in Austin, Texas should SERIOUSLY consider moving its capitol to another city, maybe Waco, and let the liberals keep Austin.

Your problem is that you don't know anything about it,

Lehmberg inherited the case from Ronnie Earle.

Or that the Public Corruption Unit prosecuted the very high profile democrat Jim Maddox, who was a Yellow Dog democrat in Texas.

Very simply put, that is the case.
I heard on the radio that since Rick Perry has been indicted, he has to report to some county office to be booked and have a mug shot taken.
That part was planned as well.

Law enforcement got her BAC by some means. It was .23, almost 3x the legal limit.

Actually it would have been a little bit higher at the time of her arrest. She would have cleared some alcohol between the time of the arrest and when the blood was drawn back at the station. She was probably around 2.5 or a bit higher . 0.8 is the legal limit in Texas.

I know plenty. Lehmberg has been in the DA’s office since 1976. She didn’t “inherit” anything from Earle; she’s been in the thick of things for decades. Yellow Dog Dems were/are as big a threat to the left wing radicals as Republicans and conservatives. You must work in the PIU or have a relative or friend who does. I’m no supporter of Perry for POTUS, but he’s being railroaded by a corrupt public official and a corrupt DA’s office.

The fact that Axelrod, an Obama mouthpiece who doesn’t utter a word without Valerie Jarrett’s approval, said the indictment was ‘sketchy,’ leads me to believe Hillary Clinton’s hoof prints are on this. It’s typical Clinton scorched-earth strategy as their political machine rolls toward 2016.

Ever get the idea that perhaps the Clintons would want us to rally around that pretty-boy airhead?
