If Saudi Arabia does become the next ISIS target, it may be even easier than the groups push into Iraq. A groundswell of ideological support combined with wide-reaching corruption could pave the way for ISIS penetration into the country. Saudi Arabia, unlike Iraq, is almost 90 percent Sunni. Iraqs growing resistance to ISIS comes largely via the swelling ranks of a Shiite militia, the Mahdi army, with Shiite fighters returning from Syria to defend their country against the radical Sunni insurgency that is sweeping the nation.
Saudi is also a major source of support for ISIS. Since the latest offensive in Iraq, hashtags translating to #TheAgeOfTheISISConquest and #ABillionMuslimsForTheVictoryOfTheIsis have overwhelming been originating from Saudi Arabia. Almost 95 percent of all mentions of the latter hashtag emanated from Saudi Arabia over the last week, by far eclipsing those from Iraq and Syria, where the ISIS is actually operating at present. The geographic distribution of those mentions covers the entire Saudi Arabian territory.
Saudi support for the ISIS traces back to the conflict in Syria. Approximately 1,000 and 2,000 Saudi nationals have been involved in fighting inside Syria, with several hundreds believed to have already returned home. The Saudi government in February issued a royal decree banning Saudis from fighting in foreign conflicts. Both the Syrian and Iranian governments have drawn attention to purported financial links between ISIS and Saudi Arabia in recent weeks. Syrian state media directly accused Saudi Arabia of funding ISIS in an editorial on June 12, while the Iranian leader President Hassan Rouhani made a thinly veiled reference to Muslim countries that support the terrorists with their petrodollars in remarks on the website of the Iranian state broadcaster in recent days.
...ISIS already maintains a presence in the country and even has sympathizers in the Saudi military

It’s about time it all bit them in the ass.
Well said. Let them take their turn as garbageman for a while.
Saudi Arabia is massively socialist. The citizens have a guaranteed income and don’t have to work. I can’t see them supporting ISIS when they’d have to give up their do-nothing lifestyle. It’s only the Sunnis who have nothing who support ISIS. Also, the Saudi secret police have the country in a pretty firm grip.
The king will, eventually, fall. But it probably won’t be ISIS that kills the monarchy. If I were to assess the stability of the middle east governments I’d put Saudi Arabia near the top, probably equal to Kuwait and Qatar.
The US needs better "friends".
This is a real Hobson’s Choice! Refuse to let ISIS conquer the Mideast and continue on through Turkey and Greece...or watch the Saudis get theirs in a mighty big way. I must think about this.
Once ISIS starts harassing the Saudis, I am certain the Saudis will begin to exterminate the ISIS militants. There is no way the Saudis have survived this long without being ruthless. They can hire the best killers money can buy or they will do it themselves.
Our politically correct government has avoided it so far, but the easiest, simplist and most effective “anti-terror” policy that could be implemented would be banning nearly all travel between the USA and and anyone from, or residing in, about 15 M.E., North African and South Asian countries.
With ISIS on the march, such a step will have to be taken sooner or later.
but everyone in Saudi Arabia are related
Fine with me. It’s already illegal to be anything but muslim there anyway, so let them in and nuke the whole works with low-detonation munitions to save the infrastructure.
If the house of Saud falls at the hands of jihadists they will be falling on a sword they had a big hand in helping to create. They will reap what they have helped sow.
It will happen.
There are many ISIS supporters in Saudi, waiting for their liberation. The whole murderous philosophy of islam started there and will be coming home to roost.
But you can bet your bottom dollar that the US will interfere with boots-on-the-ground because
1)Saudi cannot defend itself
2)the world needs its precious oil and
3)we are and always will be the policeman of the world.
“They can hire the best killers money can buy....”
US Armed Forces!!!
Maybe ISIS can take care of the moonrocks and KaBaa saving others the trouble?
We should be so lucky!
There goes 50% of all the support for terrorists worldwide.
After ISIS takes over bake and shake them all, together with their oil fields.
Then move on to Qatar, Kuwait and the other half dozen major oil suppliers.
Is the Criminal Justice System Racist?
Could Saudi Arabia Be the Next ISIS Conquest?
Muslims are muslims. So what does it matter?
This is why we should have gotten our energy independence years ago.
Of course the Nudie bars here will suffer without their Saudi businessmen clients.
