I do Krav Maga as well.

Four times a week at the excellent council run gym (about the only thing S Ayrshire council runs well), then up to another gym two nights a week for an hour of Krav Maga and an hour of boxing (mainly punchbag work) at another gym, ironically its right across the road from my flat.

Chasing up the Irish sportsman story, not at all surprised that its a Catholic GAA player (hurling/gaelic football).

The GAA is historically a bigoted organisation, with close ties to the Irish Republican/Nationalists, and many a close tie to actual Irish Republican terrorism, such as the IRA and INLA. At least one of their trophies is named after an IRA terrorist, Sam Maguire. And they refused for many years to allow Protestants and/or anyone British/pro-British to be part of the GAA, even to play, this has only abated post-N Irish peace.

Wow, you’re lucky. I get to train once a week for two hours. Would train more but other sessions conflict with Ju Jitsu which I have been doing for a lot longer and have administrative responsibilities for. Still, I get a lift with an Israeli guy who lives in my home town. Interesting guy to talk to.
