Hundreds of protesters wearing yarmulkas, Stars of David and other Jewish symbols marched through a predominantly Muslim neighbhorhood of the Danish capital of Copenhagen, in a march against anti-Semitism late last week.
Demonstrators included both Jews and non-Jews, and were protesting an alarming rise in anti-Semitism in the country which, like the rest of Europe, has seen simmering anti-Semitism boil over during the past few weeks as Israeli forces battle terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
Rasmus Yarlov, a Copenhagen city councillor said he joined the march in protest of the fact that the situation in Demark had gotten so bad that Jews were forced to hide their identity to avoid being attacked.
"We need to show that Jewish symbols and Jewish clothing is part of the streets in Copenhagen and should be allowed to move around freely, and not be seen as something that is abnormal and does not belong in the streets," he told CCTV-America news.

Reminds me of Denmark in WWII, when many non-Jewish Danes wore stars in protest and solidarity.

I’m curious as to how many “moderate” muslims joined in the march.
The sad part is that it was only hundreds.
Denmark has 5.57 million people. 80% are Evangelical Lutheran. 4% are Muslims. Other religious minorities are less than 1% each, amounting to 16% of the total.
So the tolerance of religious hate should be laid at the feet of the Lutheran clergy. I wonder if they have so much as preached a sermon about it.
The only good Muslim is a bad Muslim.
Bad Muslims are live & let live, treat women with respect, eat & drink whatever they like, couldn’t care less about world jihad, regard imams & mullahs as loudmouthed troublermakers, don’t hate Jews, the list goes on.
Unfortunately, it’s the “good” Muslims who are in the driver’s seat when it comes to jihad & terrorism.

To the best of my recollection, Danish Jews were not compelled to wear Stars of David in part because Christian X threatened that he and all other Danes would do so if Danish Jews were required to do so.
The Danes were successful in smuggling most their Jews out of Denmark via their fishing fleet. They were warned about the roundup by agents in the Nazi gov’t..
