President Obama has few remaining friends—either in his own party or in the media.
That’s the unmistakable conclusion of two pieces this week in the New York Times. Just about everyone, it seems, is down on his single, solitary nature.
I’ve been saying for a year now that the president’s liberal media allies have soured on him. It started with the ObamaCare debacle and continued through his seeming passivity or slow reaction time in the wake of the VA scandal, the Bowe Bergdahl mess, the military collapse in Iraq and so on. At this point they’re basically Waiting for Hillary.
What is striking now is a growing sense, fairly or unfairly, that Obama is not capable of rising to the occasion, that he just doesn’t like politics, that he’s disengaged, that despite his soaring rhetoric in 2008 he has a passion deficit.
All the criticism about him playing golf and being at Martha’s Vineyard is kind of a code for his supposedly being unplugged from the job.
A Times news story opens with a killer anecdote about the president meeting with Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell, which turned to Democratic complaints that the GOP was bottling up a number of Obama’s ambassadorial nominees.
“Mr. Obama quickly dismissed the matter. ‘You and Mitch work it out,’ Mr. Obama said coolly, cutting off any discussion. Mr. Reid seethed quietly for the rest of the meeting.”
Wow. And the nut graph: “Nearly six years into his term, with his popularity at the lowest of his presidency, Mr. Obama appears remarkably distant from his own party on Capitol Hill, with his long neglect of would-be allies catching up to him.

Speaking of Holder, Last night Special Report showed a video clip of him, with out an introduction, in which he was speaking about hunting down perpetrators and the long memory of the government.
I froze in my tracks, thinking that he was talking about the policeman in Ferguson and also Tea Party members.
After the video clip was over, then the newsperson said Holder was talking about the terrorists who killed Jim Foley.
Surreal.

Heh...King Barry isn’t even answering the 3:00 p.m. calls, much less the 3:00 a.m. ones.
No, he could care less about Hilary or anyone else. He just doesn’t care about his job and has decided to lay down and just enjoy its perks.
Better to call it "Reidcare" -- because it was the Senate version of Obamacare that prevailed. "Pelosicare", the version that originated in the House, was single payer. When that version couldn't pass the Senate (thank you, Joe Lieberman), Harry Reid stripped oput all the content from a previous House bill and replaced it with what we now know as Obamacare.
I’d add that, upon assuming office Obama did an end run around the Departments and Agencies when it came to policy formulation by establishing all those czars. Policy formulation was pulled into the White House and the bureaucracy was reduced to a cheerleading and implementation role.
I’m guessing that, with the door to legislation now closed, there are binders full of EOs that are all ready to go. What does he really have to do other than sign them and attend meetings where he gets status updates on progress of implementation? He doesn’t need Congressional outreach, etc for that, just a close group of trusted advisors/enforcers (Val Jarrett) to make sure the trains are running on time.

I just don’t get Glenn Beck’s lack of discernment on the illegal immigrant issue. How they are treated once they get here is not the issue. The issue is why the hell are they even here and who brought them here. Moreover who”/ paying for it all and what socio-economic problems they will create in the future. I’ve lost all respect for Beck in the last year. He went spineless and I think someone had a sit down session with him and showed him his NSA transcripts and other it they had on him and told him to shut his mouth and obey their orders or his wife would get a little note and some photographs in the mail. Just my .02
And accept a Nobel Peace prize for doing nothing.
Obama is coasting because he knows that, whatever happens, he is set for the rest of his life. He also doesn’t really need thee MSM anymore—they played their role and he is done with them.
Before he leaves, he will accelerate the demographic changes in the country by Executive fiat. That will be his last poke in the eye to America.

Obama is starting to check out and he senses that since the horrible death of James Foley earlier this week, the old msm is starting to turn their backs on him.

Why would Obama cozy up to "his" party in Congress, their popularity is say 6%, while his is say 38%. BTW, Obama's party is Obama and no one else.
Also, what Reid doesn't get is that for Obama, Reid is the enemy, he's what Obama campaigns against.
It's the Limbaugh Theorem. Obama's not governing, he has no fingerprints on what's happening. It's all the fault of a disfunctional Congress or Washington DC. And Obama's been campaigning against the problems since 2007. The just don't listen to the poor guy.
It's almost 6 years into the age of Obama and Reid, McConnell et al still, yet, just don't get it. Morons, think Obama is just another President with standard politics. It just ain't so.
