Go play some country fried bass, Huckleberry.
FUMH!
The Merv Griffin of Fox strikes again!
Yeah, like Obamacare.
Who needs another big government republican - they come a dime a dozen.
Huckleberry can kiss my big white @ss!
If education isn’t a local government and societal issue, demanding input from the lowest possible level (i.e.. parents), then I don’t know what is.
Huckabee has his head up his @zz on this one.
Leave it to the Huckster to be on the wrong side of yet another issue.
FREEDOM-LOVERS TO MIKE HUCKABEE: QUIT DEFENDING COERCIVE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INTRUSION INTO OUR FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHAT'S BEST FOR OUR CHILDREN.
Now how do we utilize the metaphorical vaudevillian hook to get him off the stage, Oye Vey I have had enough of him....
“Huckabee, considered to be a 2016 presidential hopeful”
If that’s the case Hillary will give Mike quite the contest for the Democrat nomination.
No.
My interest in educating my kids and choosing how does NOT necessarily coincide with politicians’ interests in educating kids in general and choosing how. The latter need a “lowest common denominator” standard geared toward compliant graduates sharing political persuasions, while the former needs the very best individually-tailored out-of-the-box independence & leadership training my money can buy.
Bovine fecal matter. Same stinky pile - brand new name.
It would be so nice if these people, that are interested in Federal office, would take a look at the Constitution once in a while and see what is not in it.
Some needs to go smack Huck, stupid this bad is sposed to hurt.
“students in poor-performing schools”
It’s not the schools - it’s the students.
It’s wearisome to constantly hear the faux conservative lecture to true conservatives.
In another era the Huckster would be a con man traveling with a carnival but now he’s conned his way onto the national stage.
One by one they tip their hand...
The thing is Mike, the lefties who run our government and our education establishment also want to "rebrand it, refocus it."
The power to define and impose a single national curriculum is too much power for any government, or government-affiliated organization to have.
And let's not forget, Mike, how much better educated the American people were as a whole when all education was local:
In 2010, Barack Obama called for fixing the public education system by giving us the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and Race to the Top,
which he said would fix the education system already fixed by the 2001 GW Bush and Ted Kennedy legislation called No Child Left Behind,
which was supposed to fix a system supposedly already fixed by a 1994 piece of federal legislation called Goals 2000,
which was supposed to fix a system already fixed by America 2000,
which was a 1991 response during the Bush administration to a 1983 federal report on education called A Nation at Risk,
which was published a full four years after Jimmy Carter first fixed the nations public school system by establishing a cabinet-level Department of Education in 1979.
