“Cassidy is essentially the same candidate as Landrieu except with an “R” next to his name.

Bull.”

Yeah, whoever wrote that statement is exaggerating a bit. But Cassidy will definitely be a McConnellite, voting with Lamar Alexander, etc.

Cassidy 69% (Average) - 60%(Heritage) - 64%(CFG) - 80%(ACU) - 73%(FreedomWorks)

His website: http://www.robmaness.com/my-principles/

For someone on FR to find a fault with, and thus ensure a GOPe/Dim win.

For all I know, Maness might be the better of the two, but I’m referring to strategy. We may have another South Carolina where the opposition to Lindsay Graham was so diluted the skunk got back in. Mary Landrieu won her first term through voter fraud, and as they say, if the percentage is close, the democrats can make up the deficit by voting the dead, etc. I liked Maness until he equated Kassidy with Landrieu when he filed for the election. As Moon Griffon has repeatedly warned Republicans—keep the target on Mary Landrieu’s back.

You make a good point about South Carolina, but here’s how I see it:

Two candidates good on paper how do we choose between the two (if neither has a record to go on which I believe Cassidy does, and this is upthread but putting that aside for the moment). I then ask, “Who does the GOPe support? Who does Karl Rove support?” And then choose the other.

It’s just that simple. IMO. It’s time to throw the bums out. Remember Mississippi!

Not missing in action.... simply very minimal exposure to anything Louisiana except the mighty fine food.
