NBC’s Richard Engel told Andrea Mitchell on Meet the Press that the growth of ISIL in Iraq and Syria was “incredibly predictable.”
“We reported about it. Reporters risked their lives going into Syria to talk about this buildup of extremists in the country, yet nothing seems to have been done. And now we have a very serious situation,” said Engel.
Engel also reported that military commanders are “apoplectic” over the president’s inaction in Syria: “I speak to military commanders, I speak to former officials, and they are apoplectic. They think that this is a clear and present danger. They think something needs to be done.”
“One official said that this was a Freudian slip,” Engel continued, referring to Obama’s admission last week that he does not have a strategy yet for Syria. “That it shows how the United States does not have a policy to deal with Syria, even when you have ISIS, which has effectively become a terrorist army, roughly 20,000 strong.”
They think this is treason. Because it is.
Meanwhile, NATO leaders will be yucking it up in Wales, more econcerned about their banking and global elitist interests than in a world-wide drop other issues drive to end the threat.
Obama doesn't have the guts and/or the integrity to do a 180 degree turn and work with Assad to disintegrate ISIS.
Beyond disgusted.
Obama will do something right before the mid-term elections - bomb an aspirin factory or some such.
You could tell from her facial reaction Andrea didn’t like his comments because it made her Hero and political party look bad.

The Ops folks at the Pentagon have a ready strategy for every conceivable eventuality from an invasion of Rhode Island by Martians to Putin breaking wind. The galley slaves in the bowels of that five sided puzzle palace continually must update every operations plan and the applicable TPFDL before they can go home a night. It is only Obama that has no strategy. When presented with one, he probably would delay a decision until the strategy was overtaken by events anyway.
