Israeli woman refused service at Florida gas station; called ‘killer’ by attendant
the Jewish journal ^ | 8/25/14 | Rabbi Dr. Shmuly Yanklowitz

Posted on 09/01/2014 4:01:50 PM PDT by Nachum

An Israeli woman, a resident of Coral Springs, Fla., for 15 years, was recently denied service and asked not to return again to a gas station ("On the Move Texaco" owned by J&L Services of Florida Inc.) that she had frequented over the years.

On her most recent visit, a Palestinian employee of the gas station told her: “You guys are killers and your money is not welcome here." While the employee was not on the corporate side of the company, this incident, nonetheless, is another call for alarm among the Jewish population.

Because of my concern about the statement, I called the Shell station and spoke to the store manager, Darrell Glover. He assured me that this was not normal and that this employee would be let go today. He sends sincere apologies and assured me that this would never happen again.

Since the conflict between the Israeli Defense Forces and Hamas has been at an all-time high, incidents of anti-Semitism have become more frequent around the world: Synagogues in France and Germany have been firebombed by street mobs. Even in Los Angeles, a city with a sizable Jewish population, a peaceful pro-Israel rally last month became violent as pro-Hamas protesters attacked those marching in support of the Jewish state. In Britain, a rabbi was attacked near a Jewish boarding school. In Australia, teenagers shouted “Heil Hitler” and threated to slit the throats of Jewish schoolchildren. And even though it was never officially declared a hate crime, the recent murder of Rabbi Joseph Raskin in North Miami, whose only offense was walking to shul on Shabbos, raises serious concerns about the safety of Jews wherever they may be.

God forbid that a journalist should clear that up.

I don't expect much. And I'm rarely disappointed.

Jmho, it’s exactly what it looks like. Some people are making jokes & some seem (or claim to be) delighted.
I see your WTH is going on? & raise you WTH is wrong with people? (I don’t mean the ones that are obvious)

The lady should have asked the PLO gas passer attendant very politely if he was very very sure that his information was correct and when he said yes ......shoot him.

That would be the scene in the movie I would like to have seen....:o)

Texaco merged into Chevron.
Shell is a different company
= = = = = = = = = =
The 1998/99 merger consisted of Exxon/Mobil, Shell/Texaco and BP/Chevron.

When trying to ‘verify’ my data, it did have a story that the Shell/Texaco may not go through (dtd 99 or so).

So, you apparently have ‘enlightened’ me ... Tks...

I am a pretty firm believer in “Trust but Verify” and if the subject were to have come up in person I would have stuck to my original story....<: <: <:

Sure, Israelis are killers. They kill the enemy that would otherwise destroy them.

Shell and Texaco had “joint-ventured” their refining. When Texaco was bought by Chevron, they terminated their joint venture.

The problem with all too many Jews is that they hate themselves almost as much as Pali’s and Muzzie’s hate them. The simple solution is for 25 Jews to show up at the gas station to get gas at the same time and then leave their cars parked there for six hours. And then do it again the next day and the next day and the next day...

Texaco merged with Chevron to form Chevron Texaco about 2001, and Chevron Texaco dropped the Texaco part of the name to become Chevron once more a few years later. To satisfy Federal Trade Commission monopolization rules at the time of the Chevron Texaco merger, many of the Texaco franchises in the regions of Chevron retail locations had to be sold to other oil companies, and Shell acquired many of those Texaco retail franchises associated with the Texaco and Aramco Equilon partnership to make things real confusing.

Chill. Matthew 24 is going on. The Lord spoke of this. Why the surprise? You think the Lord lies or exaggerates?

The rest of us are overjoyed because it means we are out of this shithole very soon.

“You guys are killers and are not welcome here”

Isn’t it amazing how identical that is to what liberals say when someone defends themselves? For example George Zimmerman?

In a movie... the scene cuts away to a Mossad type taking notes and nodding....

And holding the headphone away from his ear.

I woke up this morning. One morning, I won't.

And safe is relative.

I don't spend time with Lefty and his buddies at EOD.

Prayers up for you, too, Texan.

I recall a story about Texaco in the 1930 doing some illegal trading with the Nazi’s. The government needed to come up with a penalty but had some issues. So it was agreed that Texaco would sponsor the Metropolitan opera Saturday broadcasts. Ironic that this was a Texaco station at least by name. Texaco started sponsoring the Met in 1940.

I won’t buy Texaco gas or anything else Texaco. When I use my Visa card Texaco puts a hold of up to $125 on my account for $5 worth of gas.

And he was let go today but was expected to be back at work bright and early tomorrow.
