Yep, the ATF deliberately sits on the applications for long periods of time to dissuade more people from applying.
People not doing their jobs should be fired and stripped of pension. Even medical insurance companies are expected to reply within a couple of weeks, and to say they have some paperwork to go through before they get back to you is something of an understatement.
Yep, the ATF deliberately sits on the applications for long periods of time to dissuade more people from applying.Bull-Butter. They are inundated with oceans of applications for all types of NFA weapons due to the 0bama gun & ammo panic. You can blame the govt for having so few examiners, but the few they have are processing as fast as they can. The app examiners are actually on our side. I can only speak for my experience in my region, but I've had them call me to clarify info when they could have taken the lazy way out and kicked it back to make me start over. They didn't. They've been fair and decent to me and I'll give credit where it's due.
The rest of the batfe may be a horror story, but the nfa examiners have done right by me and I will put in a good word for them if no one else will.
