I would support Rand from among those choices.

My list of gophers I’d vote for is very small and so far he’s not on it.

Open to doing more research and watching developments.

My last few Presidential votes haven’t been FOR a candidate as much as they were votes AGAINST the Dems Socialist candidates

I’d prefer to have a Palin/West/Nugent type that I could happily vote for.

Rand Paul is just another Libertarian fraud that will split the conservative vote to get an establishment bum elected. If libertarians would switch parties, maybe we could end up with a conservative running against a small government,Constitutional, Democrat, we used to call a "Blue Dog". They came to the Republicans because they can't win on their own and have watered down the Christian conservative wing of the Republicans to introduce some Frankenstein mix of dope smoking, gay marrige, isolationists that want a balanced budget. Balancing the budget is way up the list for all conservatives, but why give up morals in the process? God can balance the budget if we follow Him. God will give us victory in battle,...if we follow Him. God will replace His hedge of protection on the country if we forbid sodomy again. Leviticus 18:22 make it plain, the land is defiled and will vomit out it's inhabitants with sodomites allowed to practice their abominations in the land.

It's not about I'll leave you alone if you leave me alone. God is in charge whether you believe Him or not. We will have have a stupid look on our face when we have a mushroom cloud over America and never connect the dots to abortion and sodomy. A libertarian isn't qualified for anything other than maybe Treasury Secretary or the Budget committee.

“There’s more. Rand Paul, like his father, the iconic Ron Paul, is a medical doctor. This matters.”

No it does not. A clueless, moronic idiot remains one no matter how many letters follow his/her name (AKA “MD”).

Rand Paul is a wackadooda isolationist just like his wacky father.

I have never heard RP say anything I remotely agree with except his views that police should be demilitarized. That small area of agreement is NOT nearly enough for me to vote for him.

IMO his has no business running for POTUS as a Republican. He is a Libertarian, and that is how his should run...if he is going to do so. I wished he would stay OUT of the GOP primary.

“he seems to be looking for an identity, or niche, searching for a path”

I just hope they have him a room reserved next door to his daddy at a rest home for severe dementia. That is his niche he belongs in.

Rachel Maddow is trolling Rand Paul pretty hard right now on MSNBC. She does that a lot.

I asked two devoutly Christian friends from Kentucky what they thought of Rand Paul, they think he’s the greatest thing since white bread. I said, he a libertarian just like his father, running as a Republican. They said, “libertarian, what’s that?”

Apparently Kentucky is not very astute about these things. Probably why Rand Paul made Kentucky his residency...reminds me of the Clintoons moving their residency to New York.

Interesting. Didn’t realize his first name was short for “Randal.” I too had thought it was an allusion to Ayn Rand. Learn something new every day!
