In today’s America I’d have to say that’s not always correct.

If you want to blame someone, blame the federal judges that closed the state mental institutions and threw the crazies out on the street.

Seriously. If he was hit 80 times there must have been 200+ rounds fired.

In today’s America I’d have to say that’s not always correct.

In today's Germany, 80 rounds is the total annual usage of the entire police force. In America, that's that amount used by one peace officer during one donut break. It's much safer now to be around the Krauts.

Moral of this story; Don’t point guns at cops in Texas, Jose ‘

” If you aim a gun (or something that looks
exactly like a gun) at cops you deserve to
have your face shot off.”

How about when cops aim guns at totally innocent people? Ok to shoot them first too? Cops do that pretty freely anymore.

If this is the same one, I’m more concerned with them fist bumping at the end. Cops who celebrate a kill, are cops eager to kill. A lot of cops used to get sickafter a kill. Now, they fist bump.

” I wasn’t there and I presume you weren’t
either, right?”

I can’t argue with this shoot, but the fist bumping after was disgusting and suggests a desire to kill.

Interesting how you never see any attempt at first aid in these videos.

I’ve seen plenty where they let the guy bleed out for an hour and block any medical attention. The Pima AZ shooting for one. But apparently you miss those.

Nor was that my point. My point was that fist bump celebrations of a kill show a pretty casual attitude. This isn’t a deer hunt. Cops used to be known to puke their guts out. Cops who celebrate a kill are eager to kill. Is that what you want? Cops LOOKING for the thrill of a kill?

Not sure why you’re attacking me. I know cops and people who used to be cops. Many of the newer generation are hoping for a chance to shoot someone, hence the fist pumps.

They also deny medical care to the people regardless of how legit the shooting was. Seems to me that when the person is down and handcuffed there is no reason to deny basic medical care such as stopping the bleeding.

...surely to God there are more humane ways of doing so than blowing their face off.

Sure, but nothing else is as much fun. </JBT>

Here's a suggestion...

That is without question the primary failure — a failure that permitted Loughner, Lanza, Holmes, and others.

Too large a percentage would accept that as a viable method of containment.

Here’s a suggestion: Don’t point things at the police, don’t try and grab their guns, don’t punch them, don’t rush them in an intimidating manner, especially if you outweigh them by 50 or 100lbs, and don’t tell them that you’re about to kill or maim them.

Of course. If the gun is a replica the officers have to assume it's real. But that's not going to stop the anti-cop chorus on FR from using this story to stir up emotions against the police.

First, cops are far too good at assuming things and then acting on them. Even shooting people who are legitimately armed at their own home.
But even accepting this one, and I do, do you not think the fist bumping shows a serious attitude issue? A dangerous one?

As far as anti-cop? Try looking at cops. But if memory serves, I suspect you are one.
