It may be true that there are no-go areas, I’m just not aware of them. I know non-New Yorkers tend to think it’s an absolute hell hole one shade brighter than Detroit but it’s not. There are some mosques around (the infamous, dying one in the World Trade area comes to mind) but I’ve never seen women being hassled. It’s bad enough just to see the mosque and the usually filthy men gathered outside of them. Most mosques are storefronts.
That’s their position today.It’s sure to change soon.

I hear you but NO ONE seems to control the EU. We’ll find out soon enough, in any case.
The EU leaders are all about ruling by crisis, even more so than Obama at times. When economists told them that the euro would fail eventually due to the rigid interest rate structure and the fact that it was a fiat currency from its outset, the reply was that they wanted to generate a “beneficial crisis” in order to either convince or extort the member states to give up more freedoms, especially economic freedoms. (Note the one exception; even alleged “big countries” were hit hard.)
