The Coffee Party was supposed to be directed against the Tea Party.

A Left-wing Tea Party, I guess, would run against more mainstream Democrats in the primaries and move the party to the left.

How this will make the Democrats less "faction-y" I don't know. It seems like it would do the opposite.

Left Wing Tea Party...the definitive oxymoron - a smaller government, less taxes, reduced regulation left-wing organization - I don't think so......

The modern Democratic Party doesn’t need a left-wing version of the Tea Party. The “mainstream” Democratic Party is already well to the left, and is lurching ever further that direction. There is a reason Liz “Crazy Eyes” Warren has so much backing from the faithful for a 2016 run.

As for Cuomo, he’s grooming himself for his own Presidential run, trying to create a pragmatic-centrist image ala Bill Clinton in the process. Cuomo is one of the least likeable human beings in politics, but he does know where the bread is buttered.

Good grief. The Democrats are already proto-Maoists — how much farther left can they go?

The “Coffee Party” had their last annual convention in an old telephone booth.

left wing TEA party? why? They control the media, the schools, the government and have 100,000 left-wing organizations across the country

Why exactly does the establishment need a “TEA Party”?

I'm not sure just exactly what groups she's talking about, but look at it this way: Rahm Emanuel is "the establishment" and the labor union leaders and community organizers who are complaining about him would be the left-wing. They don't see eye to eye on everything, to put it mildly.

But I guess the idea people have about politics is that the two sides are polar opposites in everything, so if there are divisions on one's own side, the other guys don't have them at all.

DId she not get the memo? The left wing/MSM has declared Tea Party is actually Tea Bagger - see, if we want our constitutional rights it just means we don’t get out enough to recognize lurid acronyms. Now why does this air headed individual want the left to have their own lurid acronym

Like Spirochete, I also find the “teat” party as a great moniker for the left-wing version of the Tea party. The Tea party stands for freedom from unjust taxation and intrusive government. The “Teat party” is for dependence on the government for your needs, AKA the Nanny state.
I hesitate to even use the term “liberal” to define the Left, as “liberal” is derived from liberty.

You’ve already got one. They published their manifesto back in the 19th century. Where we have Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, and Sam Adams, you’ve got Karl Marx, Frederick Engels, and Vladimir Lenin.

The 'moderate' Left embraced their bomb throwers long ago.

They have used them, those who espouse their ultimate goals to pull the debate to port, steadily calling even the middle of the road positions 'far right' and 'extremist'.

They have been aided in this by the actions of the mainstream, or at least 'establishment' Republican party, eschewing it's Constitutionalists, ignoring those who argue for original intent, and branding as 'kooks' and "extremists" those who would question the Constitutional authority for so many of the pet vote buying projects of the establishment GOP.

By discarding Conservatives, however, the establishment GOP has left itself open to being accused of being extremist itself, even as the Left portrays its views as "reasonable" and "moderate" in light of the hardcore far-Leftists, Communists, and Socialists.

This weakness has skewed debate farther into the Socialist field, and farther from the Constitutional Republican principles which are the cornerstone of our legitimate government.

We need no left wing tea party--they have been in the streets, with all the right camera angles to make their numbers appear far greater than they are, distorting the political picture since the sixties.

Attention Liberals: You have a Left Wing Tea Party; it’s known as CPUSA or the US Communist Party.
