Do HDD’s crash? Sure they do, but not like this. These HDD’s were destroyed because they knew full well that the platters can be removed and information extracted even after a crash. Crash does not erase the data.
This is a criminal act of conspiracy to impede an investigation, perjury, destruction of evidence. How will our republic survive after this? Our own gubbamint has turned it's enormous power on the citizens of this country.
The most punitive agency of the feral gubbamint is closing ranks and covering up criminal behavior. Americans should be marching on D.C. over this.
If I’m not mistaken, it’s the LAW they be backed-up. Where is the disposition of the IRS’ IT/IS team head? Where are the logs/signatures of their backup/restoration solution?
Of course, nobody in D.C. cares about, nor enforces the Law, upon those within the beltway. Only, We the Serfs need worry about the Law.
THIS IS KEY!!
The ObamaIRS has maintained that they could not recover Lerner's emails because her hard drive crashed... anyone in a large organization knows this cannot be true - emails are stored on a server.
Here he ADMITS that their emails come from a SERVER and therefore a desktop PC hard drive crash would not lose any emails.
But the GOP is too dumb to realize what has fallen into their laps...
Boehner is the problem.
AMEN
“I have no idea what my income is. All my information was on my computer. No backup. So sorry”
If you get a wage they have it.
If you work for yourself and have poor or questionable records, they will determine what you own based on a number of inputs.

You got that right. States will do that, too, which happened to me. I had a sales tax number in case I decided to do craft shows for a couple years, wrote the state to cancel the number because I never got around to doing the shows and they just made up an income they “thought” I got and charged me $400 tax! I was forced to pay it because I just started a new job and couldn’t deal with it, but the next year they tried it again and I had it out pretty loudly on the phone with a gal and not only did they leave me alone after that, but I got my $400 back. I could not have been more pissed. Probably couldn’t use that tactic with the feds without getting a visit from the po-po.
