Civil Rights Leaders Want Feds to Intervene in Ferguson Probe

“Whether they wear blue jeans or blue uniforms, criminals must be held accountable”

Civil rights leaders called Thursday for the federal government to intervene in criminal investigations into the deaths of two unarmed black men killed by police.

Officials from the National Urban League, the National Action Network and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People condemned the law enforcement response to both the cases of Michael Brown, who was shot by a Missouri police officer on Aug. 9, and Eric Garner, who died after being held in a chokehold by New York police earlier this summer.

A grand jury has been convened in Ferguson to determine whether or not charges should be brought against the officer responsible for Brown’s death. The grand jury proceedings have been wrought with uncertainty, and local civil rights leaders have suggested an indictment may not be coming. The Department of Justice is also investigating, looking into whether there were any civil rights violations at the time of the teen’s death.

But civil rights leaders said Thursday they want more.

I thought Holder and Obama already did that??

Civil Rights “leaders”? You mean the likes of Al and Jesse??
They really want Obama (et al) to intervene to make sure the cop is found guilty...regardless of what the investigation information provides. I think we know how this works when it comes to deliberate racial division for political gain.

Where were these organizations when this guy got killed by police?

And what ever happened with the security camera video that was on a disk that had to be sent to LA to be 'fixed' by some 'experts' ?

May or may not, it all depends on what the evidence shows. Of course, the civil rights 'kamoonity' has already proclaimed the officer guilty and now wants to conduct an immediate hanging.

People need to remember that the civil rights coalition is but a faction of the Democrat Party.

They have a job to do just like the envirowackos do on climate change, NOW on women's "rights", and unions on "the working class." This is all by-the-numbers script and I wish conservatives would point this out.

They want a show trial and so far the locals have not been able to produce evidence to indict the officer.

Bottom line: Darren Wilson is alive and Michael Brown is dead. This will not change. Wilson did the right thing.

I’m surprised they haven’t called for a civil rights investigation of the wind that caused Mike Brown’s thug memorial to burn up.

That wind was racist!

“Whether they wear blue jeans or blue uniforms, criminals must be held accountable”

If that’s the case let’s start by holding accountable, Eric Holder, Barack Obama, countless senators and congresspersons. Lock em up.
