It seems like every election we get excited about taking control but then it never seems to pan out.

Exactly right. Too many conservatives still have faith in the wisdom of American people when the sad reality is that the American people are mostly idiots, and getting dumber every day. Were that not the case, Obama wouldn't be smugly ruling over our nation right now.

Mind your manners,

Get your head out of that dark place it's currently stuck, dimwit. You, too, seem to have difficulty with reading comprehension.

Are you an idiot?

Are you a Romney supporter?

A simple "yes" or "no" to that last question will do.

I WAS a Romney Voter... Romney was a decent man going up against an EVIL man that was destroying our country.....Jesus wasn;t running, and a person has to choose from the choices!........see I have manners.

You are like a Phd that has learned more and more about less and less until he knows little about any thing. You spout the baseless Free Republic anti Republican dogma with no knowledge of what you speak.

And here it is again, just for you:

The Republocrat Party refuses to distinguish itself from the Demoblican Party.

And BECAUSE of this, the Republocrat is having trouble in elections it should be winning handily ... the presidential election of 2012 is a fine example.

Oh, yes ... in with all your drivel, you did have a point of sorts ...

OBAMACARE

0bamacare was passed by the demonrat majority in the Senate and the demonrat majority in the House. Republicans voting against it was easy, and politically painless. Now ... tell me all about the current Republocrat (or is it Demoblican?) push to repeal 0bamacare.

Aside from Ted Cruz, that is.

Oh yeah ... there isn't one.

And there sure wasn't one two years ago, either.

You, madam, have thoroughly discredited yourself.

Are you a Romney supporter?

OK, both of you:

Did you support Romney in the 2012 Republican Primary?

After the primary win, Romney was the Republican candidate and gained my support. Prior to his massacre, I was for the brilliant black businessman Herman Cain.

In America we have a two party system. That means that the various candidates some of which represent weak or very politically weak coalitions are weeded out and the stronger candidates come to the forefront and the strongest in terms of voter support wins. That winner than becomes the party candidate.

To whine about the system is a sign of weakness, even political insignificance. To cling to such bitter thoughts two years later is just pitiful

“If the GOP takes the Senate and holds the House what is going to change?”

Committee and Subcommittee Chairmanships, for one.

The choice is (using the 2014 data):

Appropriations: Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) or Richard Shelby(R-AL)

Armed Services: Carl Levin (D-MI) or Jim Inhofe (R-OK)

Budget: Patty Murray(D-WA)or Jeff Sessions(R-AL)

Energy and Natural Resources: Mary Landrieu(D-LA) or Lisa Murkowski(R-AK)

Environment and Public Works: Barbara Boxer(D-CA) or David Vitter (R-LA)

Finance: Ron Wyden (D-OR) or Orrin Hatch (R-UT)

Foreign Relations: Robert Menendez (D-NJ) or Bob Corker (R-TN)

Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs: Tom Carper (D-DE) or Tom Coburn(R-OK)

Judiciary: Patrick Leahy(D-VT) or Chuck Grassley (R-IA)

Veterans’ Affairs: Bernie Sanders(I-VT) or Richard Burr(R-NC)

With SOTC nominations in the balance, do you want Leahy in charge of Judiciary?

As a vet, do I want Sanders in charge of Veterans’ Affairs?

Do you want Mikulski to stay in charge of Appropriations?

Look deeper into who the other committee and subcommittee choices would be.

On the other side of Congress, do you think we ever would have heard of Lerner and the IRS scandals if Cummings was the committee chair instead of Issa?

Do you think Gowdy would be chasing the facts on Benghazi if Pelosi was Speaker?

It matters.

I was for the brilliant black businessman Herman Cain.

Thank you. A simple, honest, answer is sufficient. Too bad I had to sift through a heap of blather to find it.

Are you going to learn from history, or repeat it?

It matters.

Results matter. From 2000 to 2006, the Republican Party had a majority in both houses of Congress, and a compliant President who would sign almost anything they put on his desk.

They squandered their time in office. Their biggest, enduring legacy is an orgy of spending and growth in the size and scope of government.

Do you foresee a Republican Congress, starting in 2015, taking any meaningful (constitutional, conservative) acting regarding any of:

Closing the border
Repealing 0bamacare
Restoring the military
Disabling the EPA
Stopping 0bamas communist judicial appointments
...

It's all well and good for the people you name, that they get to sit in the big chair. What they do with it matters to me.

#77 is for you, too.

Suppose the Republican Party is granted a majority in both houses of Congress this year. What, if anything, do you think they'll do with it? What makes you think they'll actually do the things you think they'll do?

Again, I don't care who's sitting in the big chairs nearly as much as I care what they do when they're sitting in them.

“What they do with it matters to me.”

And if the Dems keep it, we KNOW what they will do with it.

I’ll take the possible plus over the definite negative.
