People in the Bay Area gave a smaller percentage of their income to charity than residents of most large cities, according to a study published Monday by the Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Among the nation’s largest 50 metro areas, San Francisco and San Jose metro areas ranked 45th and 48th, respectively, in 2012.

The only two large cities that ranked below San Jose on the generosity list were Providence, R.I., and Hartford, Conn. Their residents gave just 1.9 percent of income to charity.

Among the 50 largest metro areas, the most generous was Salt Lake City, whose residents gave 5.4 percent of income to charity. Rounding out the top 10 were cities in the Southeast and Texas, the heart of the Bible Belt

And it would be my guess that a high percentage of their charitable giving goes to homosexual, lesbian, transgender causes and not those that are truly needy.

Yep, liberals believe that the government should be the source of charitable giving.

It’s also because liberal policies make money more scarce, so they are less likely to give up their money. I.e, they have less disposable income.

OTOH, notice how those evil Christian cities give more!

“liberalism” is about theft, not charity, love and compassion.

Just because you said it first doesn’t mean I don’t get to say it too.

I was out in SF on business last week. This is blatently apparent in the sheer numbers of homeless people that are actually sleeping on the streets and in the public parks. They are virtually everywhere. People just jog, walk or bike right by them as if they’re just another speed bump or uneven sidewalk slab to be aware of and avoided.

Liberal narcissism is straight out of the aristocracy’s playbook. The aristocracy hates capitalism to the same degree, they just hide their hatred better. All that “New Age” touchy feely crap, the mock empathy for the underdog, the goofball spirituality; it’s all straight out of the landed aristocracy’s attempt to polish their imperialist looting and ground rent collection schematic for the benefit of those of us who still have a conscience and a sense of right and wrong.

Secular progressives have never been known for their generosity.
