This isn’t the first time he’s said it - He said it well over a week ago.

A week ago was also late to the party. If it was six weeks ago I'll stand corrected otherwise it took no courage to say a week ago the flights should have been blocked.

I'm not a sucker for false praise heaped on a politician in a run up to an election.

He did like most other politicians and waited until he was sure it was safe to take the position and also politically expedient.

BTW, what party? Care to name all the other politicians who’ve called for the ban?

I think you just made my point. Being a politician made him late to the party. I'm save my praise for someone that chose to be right before they decided to act like a politician.

Who was the fist person on FR to say ban the flights. Find that person and you have someone worth praise for being ahead of the pack.

THE AIRLINES CAN TERMINATE THESE FLIGHTS ON THEIR OWN.. WHY HAVEN'T THEY???

What is every decision the airlines make based on?

Mayor of Dallas, eh? No wonder he looks like that. Major “oy vey” moment for him, hosting all these Obola cases.

I know that BUT THIS IS A HIGHLY DEADLY VIRUS WHICH PLACES ALL THEIR IN-FLIGHT SERVICE PERSONNEL AT RISK ALONG WITH THEIR PASSENGERS WHO COULD ULTIMATELY SUE THE AIRLINE FOR MILLION$ were they to get sick!!!

“Common sense dictates that we should impose a travel ban on commercial airline flights from nations afflicted by Ebola,” he said by phone from Texas. “There’s no reason to allow ongoing commercial air traffic out of those countries.”

...

Duncan’s flight came from Belgium.
