A former CBS News reporter who quit the network over claims it kills stories that put President Obama in a bad light says she was spied on by a government-related entity that planted classified documents on her computer.
In her new memoir, Sharyl Attkisson says a source who arranged to have her laptop checked for spyware in 2013 was shocked and flabbergasted at what the analysis revealed.

I have a feeling you are right.
If true, this is one of the most outrageous violations of civil liberties in our history. A special prosecutor needs to be appointed to get to the bottom of this.
Keep kissing the regime’s butt dude.. and you’re SHOCKED that they’re bugging you???
Oh that’s right... those pesky Conservatives warned you guys about this but... they’re all INSANE and from CRAZY TOWN, right???
Agreed. Happens ALL the time. Which is why I rant about Election fraud instead of voter fraud (isn’t much of any). It’s also why I hate that some of our dimwith GOPers scream about spend as much as we can on brute force weapons (waste).
The battle is raging in cyber-space. It is raging in rigged voting machines. It is raging in the hacking of governments, banks, financial institutions ... and your computer. I know we (and yours truly) are older, but if we don’t adjust the battlefield and take the lead over these pundits we let lead us, well ... we’ll be left to doing not much but crying in the wilderness.
I’m surprised no other network has offered her a job...
Time to go back to the old typewriter...or a computer you don’t use for online....just word processing
In the back end of spying/hacking, there is lack of distinction between Government agencies, industrial/commercial and organized crime. This is apparent by the means used to track down Osama bin Laden: Though the US Government took him out, it was a Russian “organized crime” hacker who tracked him down, using former Soviet Intelligence knowhow.
Re: “Keep kissing the regimes butt dude.. and youre SHOCKED that theyre bugging you???”
She WASN’T kissing the regime’s butt. That’s the point. Atkinson was one of the few real, investigative reporters who went after the story and followed where the evidence led - not accept the spin or deflection of the Obama regime.
She should count her lucky stars they didn’t plant kiddie porn on her computer as well. That would have really messed her up with local authorities as well.
Someone like her should be using Linux, and get a new Hard Drive every few months, do a fresh install, and trash the old HD.
Her fellow reporters are commenting on this outrage: Crickets.....
Are you directing that comment at Attkisson??
In her book, Attkisson says CBS lost interest [...]
CBS had, in-house, what should have been the biggest story of the 21st Century, and let it go to protect the little man with cheeks of tan. They have no credibility. Certainly not as a "news" source.
They can put anything they want on your computer. Porn, top secret stuff, how to make bombs, etc. And they can put it on anyone’s computer including politicians. I’ll always believe that’s why boner and company are cowards. Of course, it could be they don’t have to make stuff up about the politicians.
And it could be why the media is in Obama’s pocket. They’ve been told what to print and what to say or else.
Scary scary scary.
Our own gubbamint coming after it’s citizens in such a way.
Folks, this IS tyranny.
I know we all know this...but if this would have happened under a Republican president, it would have been the top story of this news year. And...nothing else would have been close.
