The Clark County (Las Vegas) Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP) [at dropbox link below] has "resulted in the removal of 700,000 acres of habitat from cattle grazing."
The Clark County Commissioners "support the development of a Reserve System, consisting of lands currently managed by the BLM, to be transferred to the Permittees [City Managers and others from Las Vegas, Boulder City, Mesquite, and Henderson] for the purposes of long-term conservation of species and mitigation of impacts in the developing areas of Clark County, thereby providing greater control over conservation efforts and maximizing the efficiency of the MSHCP."

There is an constitutional amendment on the Florida ballot (Amend 1) that will, if passed provide approx. 19 BILLION dollars over the next 20 years primarily to buy MORE land. If this passes, and it very well may It will result in upwards of 70% of the state in govt ownership. Property taxes will be un affordable for property owners. Agenda 21 marches Forward.

The comment period will begin on October 10, 2014 and end on January 7, 2015.
It is my understanding that what started the issue between Bundy and the BLM was that they were going to force him to cut his cattle by so many head that he would no longer be able to make a living. They did the same to his neighbors and the neighbors sold what they had and left. Bundy decided to fight- so this has all been coming for a while.
Years ago the government understood that people needed to eat so they developed many programs to support farmers and ranchers so they could produce food. Now environmentalists and shady politicians use government agencies to harass ranchers, farmers, and even fisheries out of business.
Not sure how all of this is going to play out in the long term. Most people now think all their food comes from Walmart so they don’t see the problem.

Either way, I personally always assumed Lucifer could do better when seeking representatives on earth.
