US air force fires two more nuclear commanders amid leadership crisis

The US air force has fired two more nuclear commanders and disciplined a third, fresh evidence of leadership lapses in a nuclear missile corps that has suffered several recent setbacks including the removal of its top commander.

The most senior officer to be relieved of command was Colonel Carl Jones, second in command of the 90th Missile Wing at FE Warren air force base, Wyoming, in charge of 150 of the air force’s 450 Minuteman 3 nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles. He was dismissed on Monday “for a loss of trust and confidence in his leadership abilities” and reassigned as a special assistant to the wing commander.

At the 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, which also is responsible for 150 Minuteman 3 missiles, Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy “Keith” Brown was relieved of command “because of a loss of confidence in Brown’s ability to lead his squadron”, the air force said.

Lieutenant Colonel John Sheets – a spokesman for Global Strike Command, which is in charge of the Air Force Minuteman 3 force as well as its nuclear bomber fleet – said an investigation “substantiated that Brown engaged in unlawful discrimination or harassment”. He added that the probe found that Brown “made statements to subordinates that created a perception within his squadron that pregnancy would negatively affect a woman’s career”.

They're actually doing us a favor by identifying flag officers with common sense and spine, who will be the ones we need as the inevitable confrontation starts to turn hot.

And this comes after Obama said on Friday that women leaving the work force to raise their children is obviously a choice “we” don’t want women to make.

Why, oh, why can’t we let Obama be judged by the same measure by which he judges everybody else? None of us has confidence that he could lead a doodlebug, much less a world in turmoil from his own plan. The people who have failed to remove him from office have blood on their hands.

Sheets said Jones’s immediate superior, Colonel Tracey Hayes, removed Jones following an internal investigation that substantiated allegations of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman, and cruelty and maltreatment of a subordinate.

Colonel Hayes ..... not that there's anything wrong with that.

A more correct assessment/title:

“Obama’s Stasi purge two more military leaders for encouraging morals and decency.”

I have to agree with you. My grandson is stationed at FE Warren and I am damn sure he would have mentioned to us if “he had lost confidence” in Col Jones' ability to lead.
Reading the article, My guess is Col Jones' major mistake was in not being PC enough.

“Purging the warriors in our military.”...........

Exactly. The purge has been going on for several months and continues. The gubmint can and does create all kinds of strong and some very petty reasons to eliminate those who might turn against them. I suspect there has been numerous discussions between several of the high ranking officer about military resistance against the current administration. NOTHING would surprise me anymore.

Exactly right, using our military as a grand laboratory for socialism, also setting up obama for when he refuses to leave office by reason of whatever crisis he creates at that time, he will have filled most of the command positions with loyal socialist/communist leadership and illegal alien combat force.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purge_of_the_Red_Army_in_1941 Between October 1940 and February 1942, in spite of the impending German attack on the Soviet Union in June 1941, the Red Army, in particular the Soviet Air Force, as well as Soviet military-related industries were subjected to purges by Stalin. The Great Purge ended in 1939. In October 1940 the NKVD (People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs), under its new chief Lavrenty Beria, started a new purge that initially hit the People's Commissariat of Ammunition, People's Commissariat of Aviation Industry, and People's Commissariat of Armaments. High-level officials admitted guilt, typically under torture, then testified against others. Victims (non-bootlicking-apparatchik types)were arrested on fabricated charges of anti-Soviet activity, sabotage, and spying. The wave of arrests in the military-related industries continued well into 1941. In April–May 1941, a Politburo inquiry into the high accident rate in the Air Force(due to an affirmative-action policies of politically correct leaders who pushed for unfit female, minority and 'true-communist' personnel) led to the dismissal of several commanders(except whose really responsible), including the head of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Pavel Rychagov. In May, a German Junkers Ju 52 landed in Moscow (as a part of a joint NKVD-Abwehr sting), undetected by the ADF beforehand, leading to massive arrests among the Air Force leadership. [1] The NKVD soon focused attention on them and began investigating an alleged anti-Soviet conspiracy of German spies in the military, centered around the Air Force and linked to the conspiracies of 1937–1938. Suspects were transferred in early June from the custody of the Military Counterintelligence to the NKVD. Further arrests continued well after the German attack on the Soviet Union, which started on June 22, 1941.
