Wednesday during his post-election press conference CBS News' chief White House correspondent Major Garrett took on President Barack Obama over his insistence he will can only accept the senate version of immigration bill or go ahead with his executive amnesty.
Garret pressed the president several times during the nine minute exchange to answer his initial question of, "Let me go back to immigration. Moments before you walked out here, sir, Mitch McConnell said, and I quote, that if you, in fact, use your executive authority to legalize a certain number of millions of undocumented workers, it would poison the well, direct quote, and 'it would be like waving a red flag in front of a bull.' Do you not believe that is the considered opinion of the new republican majority in the house and senate and do you also not believe what they have said in the aftermath of last night's results the verdict rendered by voters should stop you or prevent you from taking this action because it was a subtext in many of the campaigns."
After a few heated exchanges as the president repeated his same answer, Garrett's interrupted to which Obama groaned and said, "I'd rather hear it from them than from you, Major, conceivably, I could just cancel my meeting on Friday because I've heard everything from you. I think I'd rather let Mitch McConnell. I'd rather hear from Mitch McConnell and John Boehner who ideas they'd like to pursue and we'll have a conversation with them on that."
After he finished his answer he added "Major works me, man."

Ok now that i actually watch this Garrett was way too ambitious - could have kept it just at the immigration question.

I could not believe how cool he was during his looooooong press conference. I was so glad that Garret got under his skin. It was like when the lashed out at that guy who told BO to not touch his girlfriend.
BO got all ghetto retorting,”an example of a brother just embarrassing you for no reason...”I can’t believe Mike. He’s such a fool.”
BO is at heart, not the “winner’ of the Nobel Peace Prize, but a thug from the mean streets of Chicago.

This was the first time I’ve seen Obama get really rattled and try as he may, he couldn’t hide it. I was just waiting for another set of questions to make him lose it...........

It’s painful to watch. I kept looking at the time bar and it seemed the video was getting longer. I had to shut it down.
CBS took a ‘major’ step forward when they hired Major Garrett. Perhaps CBS can do some decent reporting now.
