I think the clearest indicator of this, are the nations who are not demanded to diversify.

Ever hear of Mexico being demanded to diversify?

All this energy used to trash to U. S. for not doing it, and not a peep about Mexico.

Thanks for those links.

Can’t argue with any of that. I agree.

I wish it was so.

With illegal executive orders, Obama commits high crimes.

The high being him, the unitary entity, the person that is the executive branch. The crime being against us, the sovereign, the people.

When Obama rewrites laws, he places himself above the law he swore to faithfully execute.

Congressional impeachment and removal is for crimes against the constitution and us, the sovereign.

Good point. There is nothing legal to defund because the actions are illegal. Short of impeachment and conviction by Congress (which will not happen), only the federal courts can stop illegal actions.

Governors and State AGs have standing to bring a federal restraining order against Obama by making it impossible for people to follow his illegal directives without risking incarceration.

Obama plans to have a contractor manufacture tens of millions of green card-like IDs with security strips, holograms etc. for a “future immigration reform initiative”. These facts and those words are already included in a solicitation RFP for the cards. To solicit such is illegal because there is yet nothing in law that supports the activity to make so many cards.

Therefore, a federal court can issue a restraining order or a preliminary federal injunctive order to halt the solicitation until Obama’s lawyers show up in court and make their case (of which there is none yet). Stopping the manufacture of cards stops Obama’s Executive Amnesty cold.

But then there is legislative amnesty. And the specter of this approach to amnesty is far more dangerous because if Congress moves ahead in the direction the US Chamber of Commerce steers them, then it will be legal to grant amnesty to tens of millions of soon to be democrat voters. And no court will be able to stop it.

And all of the above legislative amnesty action falls on Boehner who can decide to allow a immigration reform bill to come to a vote on the House floor. We know all the dems will vote for it. We know that progressive republicans will vote for it. It is possible that such a bill passes without a majority of republicans. And Boehner can allow that to occur. Boehner is the lynch pin in all of this and he has a track record of caving.

Then there is the deceptive piecemeal approach. Someone will propose a border security only bill and it will sound good but it’s a trojan horse. But once again by the time it winds its way to conference it will have trigger actions to legalize tens of millions and fast track them for citizenship, ergo instant democrats.

Those granted amnesty won’t even wait for citizenship. They will be registered to vote automatically when they get State IDs and drivers licences via Motor-Voter. They won’t care that it’s illegal for them to register to vote as non-citizens; they’re lawbreakers anyways.

The only time an immigration deal should be worked on in Congress is when conservatives control both chambers of Congress and the White House. We are not there yet.

Imagine Reid allows a shutdown because he wants Illegals to get Work Permits

It's not Reid. Obama wants illegals and Harry wouldn't dare send up a bill that the president would veto. The RATZ are screwed.

When the executive can ignore or rewrite laws at his whim, I do not understand the need for more laws.

To pass more bills for Obama and his thug ministers to play with is to rationalize if not condone additional high crimes.

Obama and the courts make law. Adios republic.

Trouble here is that if 20, 30, 75 million illegals are legalized there will be no do-over. Its game, set, match - the statist win.

“The Republican leaders have been humping the leg of comprehensive immigration reform since 2000. Over the last few years, there has been a non-stop push for it from both parties. I have no idea what is going on here. Has the Republican leadership finally pulled it’s head out? I can’t believe that.”

June 10, 2014. That was the day that Eric Cantor got THROWN ON HIS ASS in his Primary, in most part for supporting Amnesty. He was the House Majority Leader, the second most powerful person in Congress.

To think that didn’t chasten other Republicans would mean you (not really ‘you’, but figuratively speaking) don’t understand the significance of this trashing. Yes, Karl Rove’s Amnesty-blood-money is VERY TEMPTING...but staying in power is MUCH MORE tempting, and you cannot have both. Either you (as a Republican) support Amnesty, or you want to stay in office - and as Cantor PROVED, you cannot have both.

One way to really STOP IT is to simply NOT confirm a single federal judge (at all levels, including the Supreme Court) until it’s clear that this crap either will not happen or will be reversed.

Obama can WHINE all he wants about not confirming those judges...but liberals will FULLY UNDERSTAND the significance of not having them on the bench, though the rest of the public will yawn.

Much better than yet another toothless “government shutdown”.

*****

That is not a bad idea. How about a "Million Man" protest/march in D.C. against Obama's upcoming immigration executive order?

Bob, not to be argumentative, but I could have sworn we’ve had a number of top Republicans speaking in favor of comprehensive immigration reform in the last 90 days. Perhaps that should be extended to 180, but man these folks are “all-in” on it.

I’ll nose around a bit and see what I can come up with over the last 90 to 180 days.

You and I look at that and consider it compelling.

They look at it and try to pass it off as if that segment (illegal aliens) of our population commits no more crimes per capita than our citizens do.

What they miss, is that every crime committed by an illegal alien, is a crime that would never have been committed here, if we were enforcing our laws.

Every murder, attempted murder, rape, assault, child molestation, armed robbery, burglary, intoxicated related death, tens of thousands of serious injuries, none of this would have taken place! NOT ONE INCIDENT!

Illegal aliens must go. Tens of thousands of injured or worse people deserve to have their deaths or personal injuries mean something.

How many people must die, how many individuals have to be seriously harmed, and their families lives changed forever, before the assholes on Capital Hill get it?

I agree, I heard the same. It was almost as if the Republican leaders feared that we might do TOO WELL in last week’s election, so they tried to suppress our vote a bit...and it may have worked. Beyond that they would JUST LOVE to get this immigration issue “behind us” meaning giving the Dems everything they want on the issue in exchange for a few empty promises. The LAST THING they wanted was Obama to sign his order, and then Ted Cruz, Sessions, Lee and other conservatives to make them (the Republican leaders) actually have to STAND UP to the President.

I think the Republican leaders now realize that the idea of Amnesty actually being good for the party in the long term, as their advisers (most of them gay, by the way) INSISTED, is TOTALLY DISCREDITED, given the results of the last election with Hispanics voting Republican well into the 40% level, if you discount the radicalized ones in California and the Northeast. In other words, even without Amnesty, or the promise of Amnesty, and even with talk of sealed borders, no in-state tuition, no sanctuary cities, no driver’s licenses (for illegals, of course), Hispanics are now supporting Republicans at a level that ensures future victories in states where they need the Hispanic vote.

But we’ll see. I suspect that, as usual, the Republicans have NO PLAN to deal with Obama’s Amnesty and will, yet again, be tempted to take the advise of their trusted “advisers” (most of them gay, by the way), rather than LISTEN TO THEIR VOTERS, for once.
