Milwaukees tough-talking Sheriff David Clarke who once famously told city residents to arm themselves so they could take out any clown who entered their homes now says that communities shouldnt rely on data-driven crap to fight crime.
Rather, policing ought to be all about getting law enforcement agents on the ground, so they can lock up criminals, he said during a lengthy interview with Fox News.
Sheriff Clarke said academics and political elites do more harm than good by latching on to criminal justice theories and studies to promote their vision of fighting crime, Politico reported.

His words: Know who and what your target is. Point that barrel center mass and pull the trigger. He then suggested homeowners could call 911 to get this dead guy out of my house. Hes bleeding out and messing up my carpet, he said in the interview.

No matter. They are the elites. We are the peasants.
Wisconsin Ping!

Now THIS is my kind of sheriff.
Let’s ship him to Ferguson, where he is most needed.
Bump.
Great graphic, it’s a keeper.
Great ad!
“Better to boot the data-driven crap and get down to the real business of fighting crime getting more police on the streets, the funding of which could be realized by cutting services like library hours, he said.”
Love it when a man thinks straight.
Whatever happened to those 100,000 extra cops Clinton promised?
Well, now: there’s a man I wish I worked for!
If data driven crime was effective, then illegals and Obama would not be running around like this.
Crime is a matter of understanding and countering its language, its profile type actors. This data crap is scary.

The Sheriff’s quote reminds me of a Sheriff in rural Oklahoma. Upon being called to report a burglary by one of my rugged, cattle rancher clients, my client told him that if the thieves returned he would shoot them in the knee and then call the law. The Sheriff replied that he should make sure the perp was dead before calling — less paperwork!

Another great Sheriff.
Most departments didn't need more than a few new bodies, but they did want new toys, so they built swat teams and bought new recreational armored vehicles and mobile command centers.
In other words, it turning into a giant pork barrel feeding frenzy.
It always does.
