Racial tensions are running high in New York in the wake of the death of Eric Garner at the hands of a police officer – and people have been up in arms at the decision to sing the song ‘White Christmas’ at the city’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Former Hootie and the Blowfish singer Darius Rucker sang the song at the Rockefeller Center this week – and it was immediately seized on as a racist choice.
Right-wing commentators, in turn, took this as evidence that left-wingers all thought the song was racist – and duly Tweeted their outrage, in even more unpleasant terms.
Composer Irving Berlin, a Russian Jew who died in 1989, would doubtless have been confused over the controversy.
The song, written in 1940, is not intended to have any racial content whatsoever – it’s a nostalgic song about past Christmasses, and the ‘white’ part is meant to be snow.
The Bing Crosby version of the song is thought to be the best-selling single of all time, having sold 50 million copies worldwide.

When the MSM turns gossip goddess about what someone said on twitter, facebook, etc. I don’t give a damn.
It’s called “reposting the internet” and I can go to the internet to get the internet, I don’t need to turn to print and broadcast “(lazy) journalism” to get the latest from the internet.
Perhaps it would be more efficient to ask for a current list of what isn’t racist; bearing in mind that the contents of said list can and will change at the whim of the race-hustlers.
Or, maybe it would even more efficient to simply tell the race-hustlers to get stuffed and go on with life.
Faux outrage is a keystone of modern “liberalism”. The very core of this is no matter how one attempts to appease liberals, you cannot. There is always the next grievance. The whole point is to forever enslave you thru guilt, from which you can never balance the account. Thus we now have terms like “micro aggression” and “white privilege”.

I’m actually happy to see this. It just brings the day of overwhelming blowback against liberals and their enablers closer.
When people are finally pushed far enough it’s going to be spectacular watching liberals fired, unemployable, refused service, driven from their neighborhoods and the rest. And I am going to take great pleasure watching them cry, complain and scream for ‘justice’ when they discover that the natural order of this planet can only be thwarted for so long.
My personal opinion is anyone hiring, renting to or otherwise associating with them in any ‘normal’ capacity other than fighting them is every bit as guilty as they are for the insanity they cause and the damage they have done to America. they are after all empowering them. It’s time they either change that or just fess up to what they really are.
Seriously, isn't it time we stood up and told black racists that they're only a percentage of 15% of the population, and either deal with it or move to a place such as Liberia where they'll be part of 100% of the population. About the stupid white liberal enablers? Lock them up and throw away the keys.
grrrr.....Obama has set back race relations to worse than they were before busing happened in the 1960s "to improve things". Some neighborhoods never recovered from those riots. Now you've got enabled rioters burning down cities, which will only make things for people who actually live there and benefit from people spending money in the inner cities during the holidays. This seems more like a grand scheme to replace blacks in our society and economy with invaders than it is about black well being.

Uhh... Darius Rucker IS black. He's a black country singer (now) and is doing VERY well for himself.
If you want to hear someone who clearly and concisely lives his life with God, find some videos on Darius Rucker. He's really an amazing person.
