Representative Marlin Stutzman (R., Ind.) accused House Republican leadership of reneging on a deal made with him to get his support on a crucial procedural vote that almost killed the $1.1 trillion cromnibus.
I was very surprised and even more disappointed to see the cromnibus back on the floor, Stutzman said in a Thursday evening statement. The American people deserve better.
Stutzman was one of the last Republicans to cast his ballot in favor of a rule allowing the House to vote on the cromnibus. National Review Online reported that Stutzman backed the rule at the last minute after leadership told him that they would pull the cromnibus, once the rule was passed, and replace it with a short-term continuing resolution favored by rank-and-file conservatives. With the last-minute help of Stutzman and outgoing Representative Kerry Bentivolio (R., Mich.), leadership won the vote 214-212.

Well, he can reciprocate by voting against Boehner on January 6th. But we all know he won’t.
I have heard this before and I didn’t buy the explanation from my ex-congressman on funding of Planned Parenthood some years ago.
I think this guy is in good old fashioned CYA mode.....
GOP Rep: “I’m as stupid as all get out”
Not buying the explanation. You knew they were snakes when you started crossing the river on their backs.
So Mr. Stutzman: You vote to allow the cromnibus to be voted on based on the “promise” that once the leadership gets what they want, they will pull that bill????
Are you effin nutz????????
I’m one of the stupid people that elected him. What would you do if Boehner lied to you?
“I was very surprised...”
Clearly not ready for prime time. If he hasn’t figures out who the GOP is by now, he should probably head back to Indiana.
“Marlin, you ignorant Stutz!”
Boner can’t lie to me because I already know he’s only in congress to support a small number of cronies. Plus, he’s a drunk, and drunks aren’t to be trusted.
This guy was in the primary for Lugar’s seat. Normally votes with the tea party conservatives. I don’t doubt Boehner’s buddies pulled a fast on him. It is disappointing to see he actually believed something a politician said.
The one thing the GOP does really really well is deceive their supporters.
GOP = GIVE. OBAMA. POWER. = GRUBER. OTHER. PEOPLE.
It won't happen again.
Jeez, the GOPe RINO leadership in Congress lies not only to its base in the country but also to members of its caucus? Who knew!

Boner and all his allies work hand in glove with the Dems and are no different in any respect from them.
Benedict Arnold, Ephialtes, Judah are what they are.

"It is my proudest vote," Markey said repeatedly in the House, and then again as a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2014. The question is relevant in the... [/snip]
