There is no sense in abusing a kid like happened to this lady’s son, if she presented all the facts honestly in this article. Big IF with race baiters.
While at college, one of my sons let his registration expire on his car (dumb a$$) and was arrested. The cop put the handcuffs on him tight enough to cut his arm. He had to get stiches.
However, when the cop’s boss talked to my polite son and saw what happened he was livid that my son was arrested and injured by the cop. He made it all go away, including getting his car out of the place where the crazy cop had it towed and impounded. My son got the usual warning ticket to get the car registered as should have happened in the first place.
This was a polite white boy so this lady’s argument that police abuse is only happening to polite black boys is pure racist ignorance. It’s happening to white boys, too. Our justice system has gone haywire.
Because of this and other abusive situations with police officers, my sons will never view cops as my generation has done. They know there are bad guys and good guys. I grew up seeing them all as good guys.

It takes discipline, in these cases, to not lose control and respond as per ones personal feelings.

No mention in her article that NYPD and the professional radical protesters of NYC have decades of experience dealing with each other and have long since worked what is and is not allowed at one of these 1st Amendment protest events.
The only privilege that the young lady has is that she and the cop know the rules. Very dramatic action for the camera but it is all street theater.
However, cross the line...say, shove or punch a cop...and things change.
They are completely phony; watch their reactions when the crime comes to their wealthy sections of NYC. I remember when Dinkins was mayor, and these snobs couldn’t wait to elect a replacement who would keep the blacks away from them.
They dabble in “playing poor”, but have no interest in having blacks as neighbors or their children’s classmates.
