Are the republicans even going to pretend to be from a different party that the president. McConnel is trying to take credit for the economy when it is the Obamatons that are cooking the numbers and hiding the real economic pain that is out there.
If that’s his comment then he has to explain 5 years in which the stock market essentially tripled. It’s a completely stupid door to open, but as far as stupidity goes, there should be no surprise.
Oh by the way....the Republicans have taken over for exactly one day.
Fricking moron.
Ok, so this looks to be partially correct: expectations of a unified GOP Congress combined with energy-related growth is providing some limited improvement. Which is being overblown because the Dems are cooking the books to make it look more substantial than it actually is.
So he’s only partially stupid.
On the upside however is getting to see the Progs go completely apoplectic over his comments, which amount to him 1) accepting their numbers and 2) employing the Progs’ own credit-taking tactics against them. So very, very amusing.
Now if his narrative sticks and the economy craters again, the GOP will take the hit. However if the Progs’ hysterical counter-narrative that Obama and the Progs’ own policies are responsible succeeds in drowning out Mitch’s, and the economy craters again, the Progs get to eat the cratering in a very big way.
Actually, the stock market is an indicator of what the future is. Most businesses expect less damage from the Marxist Party than the Communists.
Pray America is waking
Not really barry makes stuff up all the time, they have to start playing the game
Like obama, McConnell knows how to tell lies in an effort to soothe the savage beast, It Won’t Work they will take that crap from a black islamist communist elitist president, but you sir are expected to have some kind of moral back bone, you spineless twit!
Really?
No connection between the election results in Nov. giving a shot of confidence to businesses that have been holding off expanding for several years - now ready to give it a shot, cautiously gambling that with a Republican House AND Senate, it just might become a business friendly country?
You see no possible connection?
Curious
If you track the economy during the Clinton Administration, you will find that it was in the tank, sort of Obamalike only not quite as bad, until the Republican victory in 1994. After that, the wonderful Clinton economy started.Since the stock market tries to predict the future, its not irrational to suggest that a positive move might follow the results of the election, and actually precede any positive accomplishments which may eventuate.
