I am thinking these old guys get waaay too easily influenced by their clerks.
I recall hearing Thurgood Marshall spent most of his time (in the last years) watching soap operas while his staff created “his” opinions.
States control the issue of licences for many things, including marriage; not the Fed Gov’t.
Some States require a blood test and some require a waiting period.
The Fed Gov’t. and judges are way out of line, IMO, when they try to dictate matters such as education and marriage.
‘So, as long as a group of people agree, it is ok to call anything a marriage?’
By the state’s standards, that’s all it ever was. Simply whatever judges, pols, or the voting majority thought it was at any one time.
Freegards
Me too. This national suicide is painful to watch.
It is really a helpless feeling.
The destruction would be the same either way.
Countenancing marriage redefinition across the board is an untenable proposition. It is NOT just a harmless social change.
