The French government was opposed to the idea of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attending Sunday’s historic march in Paris, believing the Israeli leader’s presence at the rally would be “divisive,” Israeli media reported Sunday.
Netanyahu did not initially plan to attend the event, which was organized in a show of solidarity and defiance after terrorist attacks in the French capital which claimed 17 lives. However, the Prime Minister changed his mind after Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett announced they would join the march, Israel’s Channel 2 news reported.
In retaliation to Netanyahu’s sudden change of heart, which came in spite of the French government’s position, the Elysee Palace extended an invitation to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, according to the report.
The French government reportedly further chose to highlight their invite to Abbas rather than Netanyahu’s announcement regarding the event, announcing a planned meeting between French President Francois Hollande and Abbas Saturday night.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office did not respond to a request to respond to the reports.
On Sunday, Hollande and world leaders, including Netanyahu and Abbas marched in the mammoth procession, which began near where gunmen killed 12 people at satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo last week.
Netanyahu was initially situated in a second row of leaders, but shimmied his way into the front row, alongside Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Council President Donald Tusk and Abbas.
Among the victims were four Jews at a kosher supermarket and a Muslim police officer.

if the “French government” was anything but Nazi at heart, they would have wanted Netayahu in the front line of the parade, and they would have invited Abbas only to have him shot dead on sight

Pray for France. It looks all the more like a lost, lost cause. Sold out by the French “government” or at least the ruling elite behind the French “government” Sold out dead.

The candles, the cheap slogans (Je Suis Charlie!) the fake outrage, and the marches are just propaganda and BS from the EU ruling class.

Every time social upheaval occurs in Europe, the Jews are the first to get attacked. So now it begins again, but it will come to all Europeans before too long.
What was the purpose of this gathering of politicians...other than a photo op? I’ve heard nothing mentioned about how they want to battle Islamic terrorism.
I’m guessing that there are (or were) many Jews in France because many fled Germany, Poland and other areas under heavy Nazi invasion during WW2. Terrorists aside, the countryside is a beautiful place to live, from what I hear, and many Jews, frequently being business owners, have incorporated themselves into their communities. Well, most of that has been changed now, most likely for a generation or two.
Those who can afford to should come to Canada or America. Not to worry, we will have washed all of the ‘obama’ off our hands in two or three years. I’m hopeful that our momentum as a nation will improve whichever party wins. We will enter an age of healing in the Post-Obama decade.

A show of “solidarity” against terrorism, yet they would deny the man whose country suffers more attacks than anyone else a prime spot? Guess they’re trying to say “Jewish lives don’t matter”. Bibi was probably thinking “What’s this all about? We go through this almost daily.”

This was actually huge no matter of how it came about....most people only “saw” the end result which was definately an Historical “show” as never before of over 40 nation leaders united...and certainly courageous to march in the front rows....(target rich).
It gives the go light for people to oppose the Islamic push....and that the outcome will indeed depend on the citizens to have likewise courage.
BIBI was shown throughout all the stations worldwide until he was odne with his speech. The Islamists saw this....you can count on it...and was a huge statement without words.
I give the networks credit for showing him as long as they did...and keep in mind that NO speakers were given a stage yet BIBI was shown throughout his speech...Wonderful!!!!
Netanyahu was the only real man there.
