Remembering when we had a real president. Remembering our brothers who gave all. Freedom is not free.
Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction.
God bless America.

And, of course, today is January 31, 2015 and is the 47th anniversary of the 1968 Tet Offensive, but who remembers that?
Only those who were there for it.

I remember. My brother and I arrived aboard the USS Hull (DD945) in February 1968. My second tour of duty to Vietnam and his third. God bless his dear soul.

Yes. The Higbee was my first ship. Flew to Japan straight out of bootcamp and reported aboard the Higbee in Yokosuka in the fall of ‘65. We provided naval gunfire support off Vietnam for the next several months until the summer of ‘66, then returned to the states. I went to “A” school and then requested “brother duty” and was transferred to the Hull in ‘67.
