A critic of mandatory child vaccinations made no apologies for her views in an appearance on Newsmax TV Tuesday, and said that public anger over the Disneyland measles outbreak should be directed at pharmaceutical companies and the federal government, not people like her.
"What's happening is people are freaking out about measles outbreaks," Louise Kuo Habakus said ina combative interview with "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner. "They're pointing the finger at unvaccinated children and non-vaccinated families, when really what needs to happen is people need to be pointing the finger at industry and at Congress."
Habakus, co-founder of a group called the Center for Personal Rights, objected to being labeled an "anti-vaxxer" — "a stupid name," she said, that doesn't account for the real medical risks including allergic reactions, brain damage and even death that inoculations pose to some children.
"If you were allergic to penicillin, what would I call you? Anti-penicillin?" said Habakus.
"The issue comes down to parental choice," she said. "Parents need to have the right to decide what goes into their children's bodies."
"What parents know in looking at the literature, and looking at the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, they see that there is serious injury and death associated with vaccines," said Habakus.
Habakus argued that conventional wisdom understates the risks of getting shots for measles, mumps and Rubella and the like, and overstates their effectiveness.
She said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention keeps pushing vaccinations, however, "because they don't want people to lose confidence in the program," even though children have been harmed, and despite the fact that vaccines sometimes fail, and can transmit the very viruses they're intended to curb.

My niece has GBS, Gillian Barre Syndrome, which is much like polio and ALS, that she got from a 2013/2014 flu shot. The diagnosis came from a doctor at Dallas Childrens’ Hospital.
GBS is horrific. My niece is 9 years old and is a fighter. She has had at lest 20 blood transfusions, plus many many procedures that siphons her blood, refilters it, and then is transfused back into her body. Sorry if I’m not explaining the process clearly.
Sometimes she’s in a wheelchair. She is or was a on a softball team, ran track, and danced. Thank goodness for her athleticism since she has had to relearn how to walk, run, eat etc again. Or rather retrain her nerves to transmit signals via different pathways.
So, injections are dangerous!

It is in the government’s best interest to instead demonize the small minority of the tea party people who are anti-vaccine than to do anything to actually fix what is causing 95% of the actual problem.
Exactly, supposedly around 100 cases of measles out of over 300 million people and we have a stupid crisis?
I think not and all this hoo hah needs to be shut down asap.

People shouldn’t conflate the flu shots with the childhood vaccines.
Flu shots, in my opinion, aren’t necessary. And children shouldn’t get them.
Still, what happened to your niece is rare. And, the thing is, she would probably have gotten Guillan Barre if she got the flu as well if it was due to the flu shot.
It’s sad and I hope the best for her, her family and you.
It needs to be actively exposed for what it is.

It’s true. It is Goebbelesque crazy how something that comes from the lunatic left is attributed to conservatives.
The left is always anti-science. The environmental movement has always been predicated on a knee-jerk anti-science, for example and the anti-vaccination movement is another.

As I pointed out, if the poor girl was so sensitive to the flu vaccination, a case of the flu or other infection with a virus that carries the same lipids would probably also have given her the disease.
Most people get it due to infections such as flu or enterovirus with a small amount from a flu vaccination.
This whole issue is common sense. Kids should get vaccinated against measles, rubella, mumps and I’d add chicken pox as well.
But flu shots are not necessary, especially for kids, and the gardesil thing that Perry did is just wrong.
