Knowledgable people want something for their inflated debt. The education in the U.S. is designed to keep those in the dark and protect the Judas bags.

McDonalds has done a great job revamping its stores and it should make sure that all its restaurants are up to standard. The absolute worst part for me concerning McDonalds especially in the past is that many of them just stink whether it is rancid oil or something else which is unforgivable for restaurant. Its other problem is that it seems to have an identity problem with nothing in particular that it is known for doing particularly well. The primary time I choose McDonalds is when I want an inexpensive meal for the family not because it is a top fast food place I really prefer to go. The best burger I’ve had a McDonalds was a Quarter Pounder Big Mac which was only because a restaurant in CT would stop making the smaller patties after a certain time for some reason so I could only have a Big Mac with the larger patties and it was simple but excellent. I think some of these restaurants have just forgotten their roots. Why do they think Five Guys and In and Out and other places that focus on just serving great burgers are doing so well?

Right now the old guard fastfood restaurants are holding their own but increasingly they are facing competition from smaller privately owned restaurants and restaurants that simply provide quality food that tastes good without the need for millions in marketing to make you want to go there and even though little can equal the buying power of a McDonalds in the end that may not matter if the buying power is used to provide substandard fair.

I can’t prove it, but McD’s fries, burgers and shakes tasted better (to me as a kid, anyways) back in the 60’s.

I worked at Mickey D's when I was a teenager back in the 70's. The food was a lot better back then. The beef they are using now seems to be lower quality.

Most likely it was something you ate 6 to 8 hours earlier.

They are screwing up their bread. It sucks.

They also changed the oil for their fries and serve less fatty hamburgers.

McDonalds, go back to what works.

McDonalds

What it is?

Cheap utility food for when you're in a hurry, ya throw it down, don't even taste it.

You want a decent char-broiled 1/2lb burger with bleu cheese, red onions and sauteed mushrooms, steak fries? They have that.....SOMEWHERE ELSE!

First “on the books” job I had as a kid was working at Gino’s, whose “Gino Giant” predated the Big Mac, and was far superior. They’re making a regional comeback here in the Northeast.

In my opinion, their burgers taste pretty much like they always have. I think they're still better than Wendy's, Burger King, and Jack In the Box. And I think Five Guys is overrated.

The problem is their food is cold. Many times I get cheese on a burger and the cheese is even cold. The steamers they have for warming suck. If you still want a good burger from them, order a Quarter Pounder with cheese 'made fresh'.

They need to go back to making fresh food, putting it under lamps and tossing it after it sits for a certain time. Heck, they don't even need to throw it out. Give it to charity.

Maybe if you are going in at odd hours, or if it is a rogue franchise, the food is cold. But where I go, the fries and burgers are being made constantly, as they are being ordered. They don't have time to get cold. If anything, you wait two or three minutes until the items are finished cooking, and they are usually served within 30-60 seconds of coming off the grill or out of the fryer.
