This is a story with various reports flying from multiple directions and it’s hard to get a grasp on exactly what’s happening. What we know at the moment is that ISIS is claiming it has seized control of the al-Asad air base in the Ramadi area of Iraq. According to multiple twitter feeds the Iraqi army has lost contact with its people inside the base. From what we can tell the 300 Marines are on location to train Iraqi military. The Pentagon is pushing back on these initial reports about al-Asad. I’m skeptical too, but it is entirely possible they are through the wire. I do not see the Marines laying down or negotiating any sort of surrender. If this prez is pulling another Benghazi and not sending what they need for the fight....
This is what happens when fools such as Obama and Valerie Jarrett make military decisions. Just pitiful for the loved ones of those stationed in those hellholes.
So are we sending in troops to assist or has a “stand down” order been made?
I hope the Marines don’t harm any of the Musloid unaccompanied children.
If there are 300 Marines there , they are not in a good mood after their comrades were ordered to surrender their rifles in Yemen. If ISIS has indeed “surrounded” them they are about to receive a Chosen lesson.
You are in a dreamworld if you think there is ANY circumstance where Marines will surrender to ISIS. There is no way. It’s utterly not possible, no matter the situation or the orders.
They’d be 300 dead Spartans before that could happen.
Well, with ISIS around, you can bet there won’t be any clowns from Kerry’s Department of State telling the Marines to surrender their weapons. The Marines might have a chance to pull this one out.
How will they cover-up their incompetence/complicity this time?
Lost contact = they took off their uniforms and ran for the hills.
