Southern Baptist Leader Says Roy Moore Should Comply with Judge’s Order or Resign
Godfather Politics ^ | February 14, 2015 | Gary DeMar

Russell Moore (no relation to Roy Moore), the head of the Southern Baptist Convention's public policy arm, “says Alabama judges who in good conscience cannot issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, should resign instead of fighting the law while in office.”

What if judges in Germany refused to approve legal orders to transport Jews to death camps? What if they just resigned? Would that have been enough? A resignation would only mean that a new judge would be appointed who would comply with the order.

A line has to be drawn somewhere.

Why resign? So some radical leftist can be appointed to replace him?

Uh, they would have been shot.

What if they just resigned?

They would have been found and shot.

Would that have been enough?

Nope.

A resignation would only mean that a new judge would be appointed who would comply with the order.

Peace in our time!

The Southern Baptist church is nowhere near the body it was in the 1920’s, which explains why the Baptist Bible Fellowship broke away from them in the 50’s. Liberals gotta be liberal - and get worse as time goes by.

This is just one more reason I no longer associate with the SBC. Russell Moore has been a disaster, and yet remains. That only means the denomination AGREES with him.

Russell More is outstanding. This is being taken out of context. Resignation is a way to fight.

Russell Moore outed himself as a pro-amnesty scumbag three or four years ago. The Baptists had a chance to can him. They didn’t. They obviously support amnesty to help fill their pews with illegals, as the Mormons and Catholics do.

His advice is Biblically sound if not politically appealing. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. Many Christians throughout the ages have struggled to deal with earthly authorities who go beyond what is acceptable to them. That still didn’t relieve them of the obligation to obey to the extent possible under the circumstances.

That was once America’s stand . . . but no longer is it true. Now it is the individual Jeremiah’s that have a voice to declare this country’s sins - and they are suffering many of the same woes that he did. I’m sure that if Jeremiah had a nice job, he would lose it also when he spoke out against the sins of America.

Russell Moore also gave the sodomites fodder by condemning reparative therapy for homosexuality. I don’t think psychological (secular therapy) is effective, but the context is trying to oppose homosexuality, which Moore has effectively disclaimed.

Roy Moore was ELECTED by the people of Alabama. He represents their will and their wishes.
